Those people have never ridden a Zero SR. 150ish mile range, 100mph speed (electric motorcycles always kind of fizzle out for high speed), 70HP. The kicker is that it has 120ft/lbs of torque. That’s about the same more or less as a Harley 1800cc Twin Cam or Yamaha Raider engine.

Should have those people ride my friend’s CR500. They won’t repeat the whisky throttle manuvre twice.

Oh man, look up Zero SR Motorcycle. They have evolved far beyond their electric bicycle roots. 1 hour charge, 150ish mile range, 100mph+ top speed. I’d have one for sure if I was rich.

I am a rider but I honestly don’t blame him. Besides Zero is doing a good job. Motorcycle industry is on the decline anyway and electric bikes are a niche within a niche.

They finance them because they buy 2, a huge flatbed trailer, and a $60,000 lifted diesel truck to pull them.

Depends on how bad the braking system is. I had a fully seized one that wouldn’t push the pads out.

Well I saw a kid basically crippled getting airlifted a few months back so not really jealous.

Hate these things. Drunk rich idiots finance them, take them to the desert and hit dirt bikers, little kids on quads, or just make a nuissance going off trail. Everyone has a stupid speaker system turned up to the max and a cooler full of beer strapped to the back.

400F Carb slide wears out and there is no OEM replacement readily available so I stuck a 450F carb on which are plentiful and cheap. Petcock diaphram wore out and the rebuild kit costs the same as a new aftermarket petcock. Ethanol is bad Mmmkay?

None of the two strokes are legal in California for street use. My friends have have KTM’s find they are sacked out and engines have no compression after a few years hard riding. Never seen a BMW. Good luck finding a Beta or Gas Gas dealership when you need one.

Fake news. I have a street legalized WR400F and have hundreds and hundreds of hours on it. Crazy single track, desert riding, dunes, and thousands of miles of street riding. Stock engine, stock internals, no rebuilds. No idea how much, it has no odometer. Boiled the coolant once or twice going up crazy steep trails in

No, it doesn’t.

You ever owned a dirt bike? If you want more range on a dirt bike you do what everyone has done since the dawn of time - stick an oversized plastic Baja tank on it.

You say that as if video evidence isn’t SUPER valuable in a situation like this.

Forgot the roof top tent that you have to drive to your corporate job the next day and park on the street because it won’t fit in the parking garage.

My friend’s ST killed it’s engine after 3,000 miles. Pass.

They spend too much time on Expedition Portal. It’s car camping guys, get over yourselves.

You don’t need something small but a V-Rod is on the stupid heavy side of the spectrum (700lbs wet). Best thing to do is try and reset your mindset. Guys who are like, I LUV FAST CARS SO GOTTA HAVE FAST BIKE rarely get to be good riders.

I hear this over and over again. The only people that bought Buells were older nerdy engineer types. Nothing against them but that’s who Buell attracted.

If you are “thinking about getting into bikes” and planning on buying a V-Rod you might want to rethink your approach. That’s a big, heavy, powerful bike for a beginner.
