“here is an INSANE variety of RIDICULOUS cars that street park up here all the time.” You aren’t kidding at all. I have a friend that bought a Delorean from that area of Philly. It was street parked for a long time and had the abuse to show it.

The rough and tumble nature of these off pavement courses is why I stick to Auto-X. Rallycross seems like a much easier way to damage your ride.

Earlier this year I did something similiar, they called it a BMW 101 Experience. I won a raffle at a BMWCCA event and was able to go to the factory and performance center for the same experience as if I was purchasing a new BMW. The overall experience was awesome. I drove the new M3 during the performance drive

Were you driving in Carlstadt, NJ last week? Right next to Giants Stadium? I saw one there driving but couldn't get a picture.

I don't know how you can say that, those speed bumps are huge, I have a friend that lives over there so I am over there a lot. My E30 did not appreciate them. I didn't know people were flying down that street though. With all the stop signs, lights and pedestrians-how could you?

Owning a DeLorean is an exercise in patience. For every person that is genuinely interested in the car you get 10 people that think that they are the first person to come up with a generic BTTF joke.

As an owner, it is nice to see a review that didn't focus on Back to the Future. It really is a fun car to drive especially with the 5-speed. There is also a growing aftermarket of performance parts so that these cars can keep up with more modern equivalents.

People get the car and expect it to perform like a modern Vette, and it just isn't.

The noobs on DMCtalk really got to me too. About 2 yrs ago I stopped following it. Vince isn't alone, there are plenty of owners that ignore the clubs and own the car on their own. It is really interesting meeting them at car shows or in the wild.

I didn't think it looked like Cameron but it may have not been either of them. I wonder what happened to Danny Botkin then?

Ideas like that justify why I ignore DMCtalk now. If they wanted to setup a "sabotage" of the car why would they call for a 2nd one to come?

Did you look in the credits? They were both provided by DMC-Cali. Which makes their failure EVEN WORSE. The guy that unloaded the 2nd car off the trailer even kinda looked like Stephen Wynne.

Time to get screamed at but...

The PRV-V6. Everybody only remembers it for being underpowered in the Delorean. However it was produced from '74 to '98 with nearly a million engines made. In race trim it could make 600hp from 3.0L. It really is a pretty solid engine.

I think you really have to put the blame on Ferrari/whoever runs this series. Letting amateurs on the track in high horsepower race cars and NOT teaching them the basic rules of the track is just waiting for someone to get hurt. What happens when Moron P. Moneybags cuts across the track leaking coolant on the exit

Almost all of the muscle cars of that period ran de-stroked engines. I can't find a source right now, but I am sure that the engines were limited to 5.0L or 305 cubic inches. Dodge/Plymouth ran 303c.i. in the series compared to the six pack 340 you got in the street version of the car.

I would like to see a chart of that. On one side you have the cost of a dedicated set of rims and snow tires every few years. On the other side you have the added cost for the AWD model, the gas mileage penalty, and the price to fix any of the added components that the AWD needs. On some rides, like BMWs for

I completely agree. I wish there was a 5 to 10mph range you could set it on. For instance, set it at 70mph. Let the car slowly decelerate as it goes up hill down to about 65 and then use the momentum going down hill to accelerate to 70. Thus allowing the car to have some momentum going up the next hill. I really

I went to an autocross a few weeks ago and there was a guy autocrossing an STS-V. The thing sounded awesome! Although no one really knew what it was.
