They were stalling as long as they could. And I thought that deleting the code was exactly the type of punch in the dick this show loves to dole out.

You get all the upvotes tonight.

"Spouses are killed for the inheritance on a daily basis, so this scenario isn't unusual."
Link, please?

To be fair, John Lennon was good at at least one other thing besides double talk.

"No, all I was saying is that there has never been found a case where someone (less than 140 pounds, Kurt was) have that much heroin in his system and perform an action"

Drunken children tell the ugliest lies.
No, but seriously, that sucks.
Particularly since I'm an atheist who's been a vegetarian since birth. Lol

Your mom is great.

I remember ordering a sandwich at Subway and they had a actual fresh avocados and I could not believe my eyes! With real avocado, the sandwich was quite good.
The next time I went in they were squeezing guacamole out of a plastic packet and I thought, yeah, that makes a lot more sense.

I just saw him for the first time in Guardians of the Galaxy like a week ago and thought he was charming and adorable, and from what I've read he's charming and adorable IRL.
And he's married to Anna Faris!

I can't get past the idea of a society that has grown blasé about witnessing actual living dinosaurs.
So… it's a world without children?

Louis CK, Daniel Tosh, Sarah Silverman, Dave Chappelle, South Park, Archer, Family Guy, American Dad, Broad City, It's Always Sunny, Girls, the roasts on Comedy Central, the Adult Swim lineup…..
Whose comedy has been neutered? I'd argue that comedy has become edgier since the Seinfeld era.

So, you replied Not to carry on a discussion with me, but simply to inform me that you find me to be a sad, lonely troll. Got it.
To each his own, but at least you should understand that my criticism is for people who never acknowledge the actual content of Calvin and Hobbes when stating why the author is incorrect,

Eh, meet you there, pal.

Trying to shut him down- by widely publicizing his most recent comments?
Whoever you think is trying to stifle Seinfeld has clearly failed miserably.

The fact is, the trend in comedy since the Seinfeld era has been distinctly anti-pc.
Louis CK, Dave Chappell, Sarah Silverman, Daniel Tosh, South Park, Family Guy, Archer, everything on Adult Swim….
Seinfeld was as edgy as tapioca pudding.

Sorry it creeps you out, but Seinfeld is out of touch and not someone young people care about.
And since Seinfeld is about as commercial/ unchallenging as a comedian could possibly be, it's hard to see how the political correctness he's bitching about could have had any impact on his popularity.

The people who insist the author is incorrect seem to fall into one of two camps:
Those who are uncomfortable with the idea that they too might have been lonely as children
Those who are uncomfortable with the idea that Calvin might not have been based on their lives
Imo, it's a testament to the genius of Watterson's

Ugh, all I can say is I'm glad that things turned around for you, and I'd like to think scenarios like that are much less common in this day and age. At the very least attitudes regarding bullying have definitely changed.
In response to your last sentence, Matt Groening (in an old Life in Hell strip,) referred to

That's just you, though. If Calvin had preferred solitude, he would not have needed to create an ever present companion.
Every criticism of the author's perspective I've seen has been based on *but that's not what MY life was like* rather than anything that was written in the strip.

Actually, it's funny. Because you can't offer any evidence to suggest the author is incorrect.
But I get why you wouldn't see the humor in that.
