Finally had the inaugural summer lobster roll and some time in front of the ocean. It was mostly in the car in the rain because New England, but even so. Good for the soul.

A significant portion of RDR2 was also spent with this idea that these people were your family, and you did have some good times together. Tilly, Mary-Beth, Josiah, Lenny, Charles, Javier on his guitar - there were good moments of connection and understanding and friendship, even between people who did bad things.
I’d like to say I think the game did a good job of giving you Joel’s story without making it admirable, and there was some interesting subtle storytelling but with everything that’s happened since then, I’m just tired and don’t care anymore.
I don’t have a problem with him being dead. I don’t think Joel would have much of a problem being dead, given the terrible things he obliquely admits to being a part of. The how and the why seem painfully contrived, though.
I took it as much the same as the plasmids in Bioshock. The system was always doomed to fail, Meredith was always going to walk the path she did, the plasmids/red lyrium just gave it a bit more fireworks.
Dragon Age 4 exists.
Borderlands 2. This game is a lot longer than I expected. Thinking of buying Snowrunner, still on the fence. Maybe line up a few more short games to knock off the backlog.
