Oof, yes I can see why that would make starting 3 feel wrong. IMO, after playing 2, I was a bit sad that there didn’t seem to be much carry over into 3. Getting that general knowledge of the characters and world helps, and W2 was a game worth playing in its own right, but there’s nothing I noticed in W3 that made it

The crossover with Hatoful Boyfriend’s going to get messy.

Witcher 3 was my “ok, dammit, I will just sit down and play this game THROUGH if I do nothing else this year” game last year - and it was totally worth the time investment.

Ah, to be a fat kid in a school system that also color-coded the swimsuits by size. Who got to wear the poo brown colored swimsuit instead of blue or green or black? Ah, for arbitrary school policies that linger in the memory for decades.

Tailgating is the best thing humans came up with after brunch.  And dogs.

Hey it worked for Corvo Attano.

God, I love nutritionally empty bread.  It’s so good.

Dorothea is like someone’s cherished OC with enough material for their own game and poor Raphael was written at 4:47 on a Friday before a three-day weekend.

And tea time with a student is just as bad.

Yup. Juuuuuust getting through the second run of Fire Emblem, ready to start on round 3. Then Control, then Astral Chain, hopefully before Outer Wilds drops.

Control is on deck but I’m grinding through the Blue Lions timeline of Three Houses and probably just going to keep going into Black Eagles. The voice acting in this game is amazing.

It’s awful in interesting and baffling ways. I imagine anyone in any region can do food well, but few places truly excel at doing food as dismally as the Midwest can pull off.

If you ever happen to end up in Ohio, find a Jeni’s Ice Cream parlor. Amazing ice cream.  Nearly worth the trip just for the Strawberry Buttermilk.

White busybodies have no problem harassing other white people either for any ill, no matter how trivial or imaginary.

It’s not exactly the highest bar to expect Squeenix to make a decent version of a game they’ve already made.

I wish I could help but I’m too busy cheering every time another one of the Blizzard giant statues comes out and it’s not a character I like.

Yeah, it’s still that matter of consistency. The FFXIV team is their strongest narrative group at this point, but none of that seems to bleed over into their other projects. Shadowbringers shouldn’t be such an outlier for SE as a whole.

Sqeenix has always been impressive and innovative on the technical and graphics level. If only they could keep as consistently high quality on the story behind all the impressive visuals, they’d really have something.

Wow, it really is the fall that keeps on giving.  Good job picking up that bigger Switch memory card, past rabbit.

Overland t-shirt is good merch.
