I don’t know if it’s still there (or if it ever really existed in the first place), but the Long John Silver’s in Lansing, Michigan was a nexus of deep, existential universal despair. Peak experience, it was eating incredibly bad deep fried stale bread leavings inside of Radiohead’s Fitter Happier.
