Halibut Point, Rockport MA - No beach, but a beautiful rocky coastline and some wonderful views of the coast all the way up into Maine on a clear day.

Also, the Andres Institute of Art (andresinstitute.org), in Brookline, NH. A sculpture park on a mountain, a pleasant hike with interesting sights.

If you’re in Western MA or get up early from Boston, you can pack a full day into:

How about this - even when the facts do mostly line up, the emotional beats they’re trying to land usually don’t stick because the writing is incredibly poor, and Squeenix has had a pass on this for ages.

... yes?  Chez Panisse isn’t exactly unknown.

it’s the misconception of idiot American “foodies” who think the only “good” food are dishes with 5 million “layers” of spicing and at least three ingredients nobody has ever heard of.

I highly recommend a good sticky toffee pudding.

Apparantly it streamlines things in a good way. So you’re paying more for less, which is a better experience?

8... did not make a hell of a lot of sense either.

I loved RDR’s musical cues so, so much - except that I am mostly an awful video game player and I think on both occasions with an extended musical interlude I boldly and immediately cliffed my horse, falling to my death and auto-loading out of the moment.  It was not the way I wanted to leave Mexico, I tell you.

The novel keeps getting delayed, too.  lol.  sigh.

Star Wars 1313?

Past precedent agrees!

Jay Rayner does magnificent reviews for the UK Guardian, both good experiences and bad. Highlights of his latest review:

Donut County, which is really chill and fun. Hopefully finishing up Y’s Lacrimosa of Dana. I have a backlog of text-based stuff on itch.io but also bought Yoku’s Island Express on sale because I heard good things.  Maybe another run at the end boss of Overcooked 2.

I try not to be conspiracy theory wanker, but it’s real hard not to wonder if they didn’t deliberately bury Titanfall 2 so they could more easily acquire Respawn.

If you want something done properly, you’ve got to do it yourself.

I also hate meatloaf.  Always have.  I figure I’m doing my part so the people who love it can have leftover sandwiches the next day.

we’re starting to move out of the summer doldrums and into more games than we can handle.

The creator of KD is putting his next game out through Annapurna Interactive, (publishers of Donut County). It’s called Wattam. Not sure how the gameplay compares.
