$30K for a twenty year old American shitbox! $30k! Are you fucking kidding me?

I don’t think he wears that helmet for safety, more because it looks bitchin’.

Zee goggles! Zey do nothing!

I’m thinking that propane tank has got to be pretty hot too. Yikes.

Now how you gonna go off and suggest this beautiful mad man hide that wonderful beard and smile?  That was half the fun!

he should install some sort of device so he can cook some meat and have a snack later on.

That has to be WARM sitting 2 feet from that glowing metal.

I fully expected to vote ND when I looked at the price and lead image. After reading the details and looking at all of the sellers photos however, I think this is a reasonable price for the car. ASC isn’t some guy with more beer than brains and a sawzall slapping on a wagon body that they dragged off of Uncle Cletus’

My dad had a Coupe DeVille from 71. Absolutely one of the most amazing cars I’ve ever driven. That 472 is vastly under-rated. On the highway is where it’s truly stunning. Push the pedal down, and the pedal actually stays in the same position relative to the earth. The back of the car just sinks and nothing happens.

This is art.

A big, under stressed engine that is dead simple to fix vs a smaller, wound up V8 with DOUBLE VANOS?

This is completely frivolous and yet awesome. It’s frivolawesome. Someone with more money than they know how to spend will go for it. NP.

Why? This Caddy is clean, rare and highly collectible. That M5 was rolling trash in need of extensive major repairs.

It’s enormous, unapologetic, amazing and looks to be done perfectly like the factory would have, and it’s in good condition. All you have to do is drive it and the worst aspect would be feeding it. Since we all seem to be flushing our money away on used cars right now it’s a NP. What well done impractical and ready to

Yes. A stock DeVille/Fleetwood of the era was a fine, floaty cruiser and deserving of all the plaudits and about half the insults it would still receive to this day. Parts are easy to find (though not cheap), and maintenance/repair is easy for any capable shadetree home mechanic to keep this in fine fettle.

It is bonkers, and it totally shouldn’t, but I think this is one of the rare projects and specials that might actually get the money. Against all sense, reason, and sanity, I’m voting NP. With the caveat that it’ll be waiting on the shelf for a while for the right buyer, but when that buyer comes along they will go

Getting roasted by Kristen is evidence of a life well-lived.

“..but I always have this fucker to worry about...”

I have tried a bunch of different coffee makers, but the one I always come back to is my stainless steel moka pot.  That, with a pitcher of half-and-half warming on the stove beside it, followed by a quick frothing with a battery-powered whisk, makes some of the best coffee I have ever had in my life.
