when Arrow was just getting off the ground—back when it was about 80% poorly lit warehouses

I liked that Mick never explicitly apologized to Zari for that—he is not good with words or comfortable with feelings, obviously—but by being there with her at the end listening to her talk about her family, and sharing her “break-fast” meal, he made it clear that he valued their relationship & respected her & that he

You know, if you’d told me back when Arrow was just getting off the ground—back when it was about 80% poorly lit warehouses, 10% Stephen Amell’s abs, and 10% “YOU HAVE FAILED THIS CITY”—that it would eventually lead to a spinoff in which Gorilla Grodd kidnaps a young Barack Obama who has to be saved by Black Canary,

Ramadan, just like the Chinese New Year, fluctuates every year, depending on each of their own calendars. But yeah, it never falls this early in the year. It’s usually somewhere within May to early July.

I love how the show understands all of its characters so well. The team members’ reactions to the “Nostromo protocol” lockdown were all perfectly in character. Wally thought he could fix it immediately just by being fast (wrong). Zari wanted to just get out of there (totally characteristically). Nate wanted to be a

That’s how you know she came up in the Oliver school of relationships.

Great things about this episode:

-Mick setting up a reputation for Amaya as a loathsome, fearsome pirate lady might be just about the sweetest thing he has ever done.

Ray keeps getting “teammate zoned” by the lady team members. But as he cheerfully told Kara & Felicity in the crossover, some guys get the girl, he gets a life of adventure on a time ship. I appreciate that he is a glass-half-full kind of guy.

Zari is one of The Six ... but to me, she is a ten.

Nah, Gary was just in the simulation because Gideon thought it would be funny (and correctly!)

Sure, this was derivative (not just Groundhog Day, but the space-time gak hitting Zari in the face was right out of Edge of Tomorrow) but the episode never shied away from the recognition, and had a ball doing it. Note to the rest of the Arrowverse, especially Arrow: not every episode of a season has to focus on the

Obviously Caity Lotz had a busy shooting schedule this season but it is way overdue for Sara and Black Siren to meet. For that matter Sara and Dinah having some kind of heart to heart really should happen, which unless I missed it did not happen in the crossover.

The sixth totem is heart, we all know this.

“Gay, not blind.”
