Given the *significant* difference in shape between a Fall Guy and Nemesis, it was either this or having a gigantic Fall Guy constantly clipping through scenery. Not like modders have time to adjust a model to account for all the scenery and positions in the game.
Yeah, I love beef jerky, but Slim Jims are (mostly) beef fat in a tube. Bleah. Though it does make sense that they hail from the same bar food tradition that gave us pickled pig’s feet.
What awful behavior? Mostly I see leagues changing rules: NBA cracking down on contact, NHL implementing trap rules, NFL making passing easier. MLB of course has people grousing about folks breaking “unwritten rules”, but they do that *after* the game.
Yeah, I think “this film should have stuck with Crichton’s original characterization” is an...unusual opinion.
I will argue that “The Illusionist” is a better movie than people remember (when they remember it at all), but it’s nowhere near as good as The Prestige.
Well...I can see Woodmans’ liquor if I say I’m planning an in-person shopping trip, but not if I’m doing pickup. So it would appear they’re holding the line.
Wisconsin does not allow drive-through sales of liquor, despite being the drunk drivingest state in the nation. Or perhaps *because* we’re the drunk drivingest state in the nation and don’t need to make it worse.
Early to mid-90s was the nadir of Dominos in general. I feel confident saying that the wings Allison had here were markedly better than the ones you had in that apartment...but I’m not sure they’re improved enough to rate as actually *good*.
I agree with everything he says here, but I want to add: if the only interesting story you have left to tell with a character is inverting them, maybe that character doesn’t have any worthwhile stories left.
Now the challenge is finding a “Breakin’ Dishes” tie-in.
“...the future of the entire industry might soon veer away from the large menu format and transition into lean, specialized concepts that can turn profits with small footprints and limited inventory.”
Or, given the “virtual restaurant” idea, they could just chop up their giant menu into six different “storefronts” and…
So...it (unintentionally?) echoes the *original* personal invisibility story:
He was a not-particularly-bad centrist Dem; I’d be thrilled to have someone like him in a D+5 district. But this is a D *+28* district, and it should have someone further left in Congress.
I used Maruchan, which I regard as the absolute cheapest ramen available - if their packaging can survive a cup rolling over it, I'd hope other brands could too.
Yeah. If “Green” had been REM’s last album (i.e. if they broke up after about the same amount of time), I think they’d be less remembered than the Go-Gos.
Just made this (sweet version) substituting Romaine for the Cole slaw mix- my wife hates cabbage. Worked really well.
I would argue he became a pretty capable actor...but there's *plenty* of other capable actors, very few charismatic Teutonic strongmen.
New to The Takeout, are you?
“Two sources speaking to Kotaku under the condition of anonymity said that this deal likely cost the Army around $1 million.”
