ABbraham Lincoln is our only president who has, as a matter of historical record, performed a chokeslam.

I really think GTA online does not get brought up enough in the context of AAA gaming. Folks idly wonder why GTA went over eight years with no mention of another installment, and it’s very rarely pointed out that they poured all their GTA development into a P2W variant game that, despite having a fraction of the

Kane’s videos to date (mostly more recent ones) have included more explicit plot than anything in Skinamarink.  These ideas would need to be developed into a coherent *story* for the movie to be good, but the groundwork has been laid.

Hey, Gia Carano’s free.  Let's cast her! /s

I just don't see how they can keep him in when you must have a referee hovering over the match to see if Steve deploys his Forbidden Technique.  That's a lot of additional effort, plus for remote tournaments it means every Steve match is not final until judges give it the nod after a few minutes' review - not a great

“Why is this power-fantasy-driven medium so unrealistic?"

I’d never realized this before, but QWOP is an actual walking simulator.

Re: “Walking Simulators”:

Woodmans is what happened when someone said "I want a grocery store with the lowest prices *and* great selection!" while holding a monkey's paw.

I mean, I’m not as cheerful about this as the author. My takeaway is “If you pour years of effort into making one of the best singleplayer games of all time, you can make *almost* as much money as the latest annual FIFA release.”

So...does this mean Mr. Beast did a better job of running a "real" Squid Game than Netflix themselves?

This screams “novelty” to me. A fun and successful novelty that may map over to other super-dense areas, but I don’t know how many people will pay $16 for semi-freshly cooked pizzas no matter how quickly they arrive.

Regarding Flamin’ Hot chips - I recall that when Mythical Kitchen was re-creating the flavor for some hypothetical items, he stated that the sour part of the flavor profile was as significant as the heat.

Not really surprised that footings are unappetizing.

War Thunder forums - where folks "well, actually" so hard they break the law.

Unlike a lot of Google services, Stadia had a very clear target audience of people who A) Want to play AAA games and B) have high-speed internet but C) don’t have a high end PC or a console.

This doesn’t feel like deliberate provocation by the AI - “I’m not sure I believe it” is generally a pretty anodyne response. But some asshole noticed it would respond in that sort of noncommittal way, and found a question that would make that response monstrous.

This isn’t skepticism, this is conspiracism. If you aren’t familiar with the game’s history, then yes, *thousands* of positive reviews pouring in the moment the game goes on Steam looks pretty hinky. But it turns out to have a pretty straightforward, public, and easily verifiable answer why it’s legitimate.

Wisconsin law lets licensed private stores sell *all* varieties of alcoholic products, including liquor - no way the drunk drivingest state in the union will let the gubmint come between us and our booze.

...but it’s not, really? Bait and Switch means not providing the items you advertise, *then* trying to upsell folks. It’s still entirely possible to get the advertised deals, they’re just then trying to sell more stuff *in addition*.
