So it’s absolutely untrue that these will be the most aerodynamic RTTs. Not only are they 8 inches thick, but they also require a roof rack to mount to. In wind tunnel tests, the total height of any roof load combines to create a unified air dam.

My nephew purchased a new WRX in NC two years ago. They severely overfilled the oil on first complementary oil change. It was so full that after a few hundred miles oil was everywhere in the engine bay and smoking like you’d imagine.

The hybrid apparently only weights 50 lbs more than the regular version, so my guess is that the CVT transmission in the hybrid is to blame (the non-hybrid gets an 8 speed). 

The Maverick USED to be standard as a Hybrid, now it’s the option powertrain and you have to pay more.  Still a great value but the turbo motor is now standard.
