Re the toilet. Having lived in a van, it’s not a pleasant experience being inside a van where someone has just used the toilet.... unless the unit is hidden away inside it’s own cubicle (with an extractor fan!).

Depends on the Van.

1)  yes agreed. (in general cars seem to be used at about 3/5s of their ‘performance’ (by whichever measure you take) across the globe).

Believe it or not, you don’t need BigFoot to drive up a flat grassy field. ;)
(although I’ll admit muddy fields can be problematic without the proper equipment).

Lived in a van for 15 months (pre-pandemic, more of a mid-life-crisis thing), but with a few months house-sitting: Having a proper long shower is the one thing that van life can’t give you - everything else is cool.

Why does the Pixel 5 suck? What’s wrong with it?

Tempted by a Pixel 5 at the moment... but is it possible to change the Launcher?  I simply don’t need things that the default Android launcher has (mainly the search bar) and so I tend to use something else. (currently Holo Launcher simple because it’s easily customisable, and simple to use).

From the point of view of ‘leaving regular life behind to rebuild yourself’, I can heartily approve.

Allegedly, one of the cars one year at (I think Le Mans), lost the fan - the fastening came loose or something. The story I was told is that people watching saw the fan take off - straight up at great speed, and it went so high they lost sight of it... and it was never seen again!

Now playing

oh - and while we’re on the subject of noise... this was probably the single defining moment in the birth of this particular jalop...

I’d be seriously tempted if they made an up to date Cappuccino.

Oh man.... really??

For utilising an Android Tablet (or phone) as a secondary display for a Windows laptop or desktop, there is Spacedesk: https://spacedesk.net/

Aah memories...

Lovely to see overproof rum being used.

What do you use instead?

French Pinto?

5.9" screen is NOT small, that’s ‘midsize’ at best.

Question is: does it have enough capacity to fulfil the requirement?
