28mph = 45 kilometres per hour, both of which are ‘under’ the general urban speed limit.

I’d say it’s far too short by half, a proper hammock is only really comfy because your head and feet are NOT resting on solid parts, this would be comfy for kids.
It could be that the computer glasses are merely cutting down on the glare from a bright screen, thus reducing simply the amount of light hitting your eyes and thus reducing eye strain and headaches.
But until someone specifically tests that, we won’t really know.
I too find that orange tinted glasses help a little,…
I used to be slightly involved in patent drafting in the UK, (my brother still is), and it’s my understanding that in the UK, prior art is something that must be considered before the patent is even applied for, and the examiner will refuse to register the application if it’s not done properly.
On another subject - I do wish that Victorinox would offer a ‘build-your-own’ service. I have a Swiss Champ, that I’ve had for probably 20 years*, and I use most of the tools - but some are just never used, and there’s some tools in the ‘catalogue’ I’d love to be able to have to hand more regularly.
The TSA would go spare if every other traveller had to stop, argue, then spend 5 minutes packing up their metallic objects, argueing over the price, finding the credit card, finding the other credit card that works..... etc etc
Yup. They’re build to be driven and to race. Let them fulfil their existence, otherwise they are simply a waste of resources. That goes for all products. Nothing makes me sadder than seeing a vehicle parked up unused.
Interesting, thanks. Things like that are extremely rare in the UK and only ever in very rural places on tiny roads. Otherwise every junction has some sort of indication of which is the major and minor roads at that junction (major roads have traffic priority).
How do you define ‘uncontrolled’?
“If everyone just keeps flowing through the roundabout, you don’t have to worry about some fool who doesn’t understand that you’re supposed to yield to the right and let everyone take turns.”
I’m very very likely to buy one soon.
Yes, they’ll look, point and stare, and sometimes covet, but rarely will they actually buy something that is radically different to the norm.
Serious answer:
“Are we, culturally programmed to reject things that look different?”
“I mean hell that’s less power than my lawn mower.”
Smoked glass sun visors. (Aston Martin DB4/5, 1965). FAR better than your cheap plastic vision obscuring devices!
I’ve found that this works well:
Leave the cooked eggs in cold water once you’ve taken them off the heat, then when you’re removing the shell, tap each end on a hard surface (counter-top) just hard enough to crack it, then the same 3 or 4 times on the ‘sides’, then gently roll the egg back and forth, just hard enough…
Tyre pressures printed neatly on a sticker stuck to the driver’s side door jamb.
I just had a brainwave for a potential gun control measure.
Regarding the 20-20-20 advice - is there any software for Win10 that will overlay a reminder on the screen (and restrict access) on a schedule?
