Lets see some reviews of bikes as they are in ‘2nd-hand’ condition. New riders and sensible riders don’t go out and buy the latest greatest - they buy bikes that are 2, 3 or 10 years old, dependant on requirements, (I’d never buy anything newer than 10 years old for a commuter hack for example).

So - does this KEEP a customised route when it’s transferred to the phone? Or does it merely send the start and finish point and let the navigation software on the phone re-route as it sees fit?

Very nice - any idea when we might be able to create a custom ROUTE on desktop and send that ROUTE (not a single location, a planned route) to the phone for navigation purposes?
