Yep, my dad used to say “it’s better to be alone than in bad company” - it was way too many years before I took those words to heart.

Hey I haven’t either and I’m in my mid thirties. Don’t stress out over it.
I read this headline as “How to hit yourself on the foot with a hammer, no cable required”
Still not touching it with a 10' pole. No wireless charging hurts too much, especially since I’d have to replace my collection of chargers for usb type-c cables (wired and wireless). If it had wireless QI charging, it would make that transition much easier... without it? Screw you, Google.
I still really hate that trackpad/oversized select button they added... but the rest is great. just a huge pain when trying to hit the options button and I never seem to figure out when a game wants me to click the track pad (plus it never seems to be used as a trackpad, just a really big button...).

Ok, I will admit that I found that idea interesting enough to be genuinely curious to pick up the Iron Man comics for the first time.
Yeah, but so was the original Spider-Man. I mean, I see your point, but I find it odd nonetheless. Sure, Miles Morales was an interesting character in of himself but part of me feels like he would have been better served by stepping into his own powers rather than inheriting Peter Parker’s mantle (a character I also…
This trend of arbitrarily changing established characters race/gender/etc. is really strange to me. If you want more female/minority super heroes, wouldn’t it be better to create new ones?
...and Johnny Depp quietly receives a layoff from Disney for an undisclosed project which was filming in China.
They probably have a character designing algorithm. Set a few variables and it spits out a generic princess, a male protagonist, and a villain. Notice that even characters that were not princesses are retroactively made princesses by them.
The ridiculous part about the electric car thing is that it really does nothing to reduce emissions because our power production is still mostly coal and oil based. It’s really just shifting the burden of energy production to the power plant instead of in the car. Further, not everyone has a house. No penny pinching…
Same here! It makes things a lot harder to read. Drives me nuts that the Amazon Kindle app refuses to use any other format, too.
haha, my apologies then. Totally went over my head... but the “lead ceiling” made me chuckle reading it again now.
As a Floridian I roll my eyes when most people start to panic about these things, but I officially start to worry when I see category 3 or above. I’ve seen cat 3 storm damage, it’s no joke. 4 and above looks like the heavens took a razor to the ground... We got lucky this time around, but I sure hope that people…
Same here. Three monitors at my desk (I work in IT and we scavenge monitors where we can!) and not a single post-it on any of them.
if it is true, it’s basically just a glass ceiling for men. The term “reverse racism” drives me nuts. No, hating a white person because they’re white isn’t reverse racism, it’s just racism and it’s just as wrong no matter what the context. (Although the people who tend to use that term are usually referring to times a…
There are actually moons that are smaller than that. Phobos - one of Mars’ moons) has a diameter of 10 by 14 by 11 miles. It’s oddly shaped. Deimos is even smaller. Although I think that those two are considered oddballs among the moons in our system because of their size and shape.
I feel like it’s more of a circular driveway, with people giving more money every time they drive around & pull up to the bank.
I actually had the opposite experience. The financial aid I got left me plenty left over to cover everything school related and then some bills too even after my scholarship ran out. The only reason I had to take loans out was that the University required taking a bunch of summer classes which were not covered by…
Nice! I do the same but also use it to fund maintenance (not sure much oil changes as tires and things like that) and insurance cost. Since my car insurance gives a hefty discount if you pay 6 months at a time, that’s what I do. Anyway, I tend to have it more liquid because of that, though.
