Oh I agree about online multiplayer, I just think there’s room for a local option too, so long as it makes sense to allow it.

Not to mention the huge visual eyesore: giant ads all over the place in dozens of clashing colors. Then there are the ones that just plain get in the way; pop-up ads are dead, fortunately, but then there are the ones that draw over web content with obnoxious overlays - even better when they break and you can’t dismiss

Yeah I totally agree. Maybe it’s the total lack of local multi-player games now? Remember when we used to be able to play with people that were in the same room without having to have a second console? Maybe it’s just a matter of younger people just not knowing what it’s like to be able to do that. I don’t know... get

Come now, did anyone actually believe it would be released? At this point, I’ve seen more evidence of bigfoot being real.

Yeah I feel the same. I remember when the PS3 came out, they were promising 1080p resolution, it’s HD blah blah. Reality was that there were no real 1080 games on it (No idea about the 360 as I never had one), they were all upscaled and who knows if they ever hit 60fps even then. Then again, I’m not convinced that I’d

Really doesn’t make sense to buy the XBOne S considering it’s being replaced next year, if you ask me. (and yes, I know no one did.)

This reminds of the time I first played Metal Gear Solid 2, and how awesome it was when the enemies reacted not only to being shot, but where they were shot. Totally blew me away at the time, and more games need that kind of feedback.

Ugh, this reminds of back in the day, when people were demanding First Person perspective for Little Big Planet so they could make FPS levels, because nothing is fun unless you can shoot at it, right? No way, some games need peripheral vision (i.e. a third person perspective) to play. In Witcher 3, for example,

I, for one, will never play Overwatch because I can’t stand multiplayer games... However, I can certainly see why he mentions it here, as it’s a good touchpoint for character design that many people can understand.

I still think that people have no idea what freedom of speech means. Youtube is not a government entity, and as such, they have a right to say what can and cannot be said on their website. If the government were to pass a law to force them to not “censor” things... it would actually be impinging on YouTube’s freedom

Plex’s lack of support for commercial skipping and their abhorrent fast-forward/rewind interfaces make this hugely unappealing to me. I use it to stream my ripped movie collection (yes, legal!), but I’ll still to my older but far more awesome PVR software.

As a perfectionist... I have no idea what I’m supposed to be seeing in those pictures.

Not that I’m really considering getting into VR (Until proven otherwise, I still see it as another expensive fad), but why on earth should someone go for this thing over a google cardboard setup?

It’s not an app, it’s built into the OS if you have Android 6.0 or higher. :)

Check out ForceDoze, it will let you do just that. If you’re not rooted, it will require an ADB command, but it’s pretty simple (a little googling will get you what you need for that.

I second this! I will add though, that it can work without root with a simple ADB command for those of us who don’t have the option to root. The biggest gripe I have with doze mode is the requirement that the phone be sitting still for a huge amount of time before it kicks in. Just because I’m driving or walking

No, I’m pretty sure this is one of those that is only available to Nexus devices, much like Google’s phone app. I get the same thing.

I’ve got to wonder if there will be another GTA game. They promised DLC for V that never came and instead have just been releasing stuff for GTA online. Which is a shame for guys like me, who hate playing online.

I hear you, but I also don’t miss the days when what was coming and going was kept a big secret and it wasn’t uncommon when something just disappeared from your queue.

That’s true, I hadn’t remembered that, but now that you mention it, I have seen where cops have coerced people into believing things that weren’t true during interrogations as well. Good times, right?
