+1 on the S55. As long as you are comfortable turning a wrench yourself when possible, and you do your homework before taking it into the dealer for some of the “more common” issues.
My favorite part of Roadkill is the plug at the end for Jeg’s and the parts they used to build the cars. I want to know where in the Jeg’s catalog the wooden spacer is.
I get that. I just meant that the Viper is 15 years old now, as a ‘65 Cobra would have been in ‘80 - and $10k 2016 dollars = ~$3.3k 1980 dollars...and the Viper is “kind of” the modern Cobra.
The goods news in the majority of the engine is recycled truck parts, so even though the parts are semi-scarce, they aren’t on the same cost level as Ferrari/Lambo parts. Add in that the tech on these cars isn’t exactly cutting edge, and it’s a viable project (imagine how much people invest in Tri-Five Chevy’s).
I know here we see about 40 cars per day - including those for only routine maintenance. At least 5/day are related to Infotainment issues that can be duplicated.
I know my CL600's suspension was hydraulic. I miss that car.
That is purrfect. I must get one of those for my mother’s cat right meow.
My mistake. I didn’t realize the non-V12 cars had a different suspension. That’ll teach me not to fact check my own comments.
Oops. Is the hydraulic only on V12 models?
S550 doesn’t have air ride to fail. It’s hydraulic - and therefore more complex and expensive. Just sayin’.

When CUE stops responding to touch, and a “global reset” doesn’t fix it - the whole unit has to be replaced. Guess why they’re backordered...
I have no real statistics...but at several dealerships now (various brands) that “feels” like the most common complaint.
Sync may have been bad, but CUE (and all the touchscreen problems) are still a real (first world) problem.

This assumes the vehicle is a manual trans. Most of the vehicles in the US are autos.
This is how the styling of the Crossfire always struck me: I feel like they were given 6 months to draw it out. They spent the first 5.5 months getting the styling right from the doors forward...then realized they only had 2 weeks to finish the rear and just decided to slope it off and hope no one noticed.
