Many of the passenger presence systems work by detecting the capacitance of the object on the seat, not the objects weight; and certain conductive objects will enable the airbag.

In all fairness - Audi has the rally knowledge from Quattro as a knowledge base. Benz has the G-Wagen - I’d call that a trump card.

The nose helped, I think it was worth 2 or 3 mph. The wing...I dunno either way.

I see the Caprice and assume Chevy is just mad at Ford for making the ‘Vette slaying GT again.

Yep, as the story goes that’s why the Dodge Charger Daytona/Plymouth Superbird have such a tall wing (to clear the trunk on the street version).

...also, thought I had a chance at COTD today; but hats off to you, this has to be it.

Especially considering anything in the front passenger seat in many of the newer vehicles produces an annoying seatbelt chime.

Please forward this to “Miata Guy” - this is modding done RIGHT!

To elaborate on my previous post:

I had a tire professionally patched. It promptly (2 days later) began leaking from the exact spot that was patched. I whipped out my trusty tire plug kit, plugged it, and 37k miles later the tire still held air. All hail the mighty tire plug.

The video disagrees with you:

Those fenders are from Helen Keller Auto Werks.

At least my spoiler doesn’t block the trunk

How is the safety risk a byproduct? While I personally feel like the car is fugly, that has not been the basis for my dislike of this particular vehicle in question. I don’t think low riders are particularly good looking cars either, but you won’t see any comments from me here condemning one.

I get upset when people put a V8 in a Grand National (because why ruin a rare vehicle when you could do the same thing with a Regal?). This is just fugly/dangerous...completely different than being upset.

To an extent, I don’t disagree. But...when a car is dangerous to drive simply because of the way it’s built (blowout/tire cut by fender likely imminent) - I do have an issue with it sharing the same road as me.

Since the crash was in water - I assume if anyone walked away from it, they’d have to be Jesus.

You know, I was actually thinking it looked like a Pixar IRL creation...

I can’t think of a better reply than this:

This is cringe worthy even without the trailer/trailer loading.
