A bird in the FiST is worth two in the bush...

Sorry, VW is still on my shitlist for dieselgate. I like their cars (my first love was my green Scirocco) but I don’t know if or when I will forgive them for blatantly lying to the public for years on top of spewing harmful pollutants into the air for my kids’ generation to deal with.

Why not? My Fiesta has basically the same cabin space as your Focus, so your extra room resides in the hatch. In the rare occasion that I have to carry more stuff in my hatch can accommodate, I fold down my seats. Do you ever even have to fold down your seats?

I’m guessing the only loose gravel is the stuff rattling around in the space beneath his flat brimmed hat.

First thing I taught my little kids. Open the doors slowly and gently! (well, maybe not the first thing I taught my kids)

Being so small does not protect it from door dings. Ask me how I know.

“Run, Timmy, Run!”

I swear, I get stoplight raced by Prius’s more than any other car. And many of them seem so aggressive for driving such a righteous car. Just don’t get it.

I downsized from a Mazdaspeed 3 to my Fiesta, as soon as I could turn their seats to be front facing. No regrets

That’s crazy talk. Get the carrier that attaches to the trailer hitch, just leave them in the strollers. But make sure to tie them down!

Our sense of what a large car is is so skewed here in the US. In Europe, heck in the rest of the world, a Golf is a midsize car.

Douchey lease-fodder!

Light is right. 2740 lbs for my FiST vs 3100 lbs for my E46. Not a huge difference on paper but man can I feel it in the twisties.

LA here, we have no such cycle, and yet our roads still suck.

Yeah but, how much will the type R sell for in Canada? I’m not sure the civic fanbase will step up to the car, knowing it is so much more expensive and subjectively uglier than what they can already get.

That drivers side door panel gap and the way the trim doesn’t line up – that can’t be good?

Agreed. Former GSX1100F owner. The perfect compromise between comfort and speed.

Fellow local agrees.

Not through the speakers, but through a ‘sound symposer’ that puts a tube through the firewall so you can hear the engine better. I’m surprised they are going to the speaker route on the new one. That’s a definite negative in my opinion.

Great replies! Ah, the old high school senior year…
