The final step of my car seat tech certification was to participate in a seat installation rodeo. Free seats are offered to all in need and techs are on hand to install them. The venn diagram of people w/ kids but without car seats and people who care about their cars has very little overlap.

Unfortunately reading the comments it’s obvious most people don’t understand (1) how certification works, (2) the purpose of the EPA lab in Ann Arbor, or (3) the role of independent labs in the industry.

The cars are tested by the manufacturers not independent labs; it’s self-certification.

My biggest roundabout complaint - bicycles.
