I love how it abbreviates to ‘sod VR’, which sums up my feelings on VR as a whole.

I trust you and look forward to playing it! :D
I got the broom during the event but if I hadn’t I would have bought it eventually. My fave mount though is the Red Baron. So worth the money I don’t even care.
Thing with TSW is that it didn’t feel like a typical mmo to me. Granted I didn’t finish it (got stolen away by proper timesink MMO ff14 because I’m trash) but a lot of the quests felt like something in a single player WRPG. If it’s on sale for like £5 or something I’d recommend grabbing it just to try it, and that way…
Mhm, I’m not quite sure why the graphics put me off when I’m attracted to a lot of games with similar throwback styles (Stardew Valley and Factorio were my personal gotys) but perhaps it’s the association with frustration and stuff.

But saying that, the closest I’ve ever ‘felt’ the vibe that VTMB had was when I played a bit of The Secret World. It’s not quite the same but, it’s hard to explain...the settings all have the same kind of ‘otherworldly’ yet modern/familiar feeling.
Last I heard, Paradox acquired the rights to the franchise. I’ve yet to play any of their games (I know I know) but I hear so much good about them that I can’t help but have a little hype that they might do something with it...
God, he’s so right about the hotel! I was on teamspeak at the time and the conversation stopped as everyone just listened to me shit myself over that hotel for half hour or so. Incredible atmosphere. I loved how varied the levels were and yet they all had their own atmosphere, to the point that after only one…
The boyf forced me to play it a couple of years ago even though I was all ‘but I find these games hard to get in tooooo’ and then I disappeared off the grid for a good few days. I don’t think any role-playing game has got me so deep into another role as much as that.
Mhm, I keep hearing people whose taste I trust raving about it and I feel a little sorta...guilty that I overlooked it? Like I judged it because of how it looked - while I love the classic Megaman games I think I got a vibe of ‘really hard and dated platformers that I will tire of in an hour’, but as I mentioned in…
You know, even though I said I’m not too much into what you call A-to-B platformers (and thanks for introducing me to that term!) I played Ducktales Remastered a little while ago because it was on my PS+ backlog not expecting to get into it and I had so, so much fun. So that’s got me interested. And I like the sound…
That’s an absolutely fantastic idea. I think especially in this age of everything being digital, a physical, tangible scrapbook to remember someone by will always have inherent value, even if the contents themselves don’t to most people. I have so much tat of my own that I don’t want to throw away that I keep digging…
You know I hear a bunch of good things about SK but for some reason I’ve never quite made the jump. I’m not much of a retro 2D platformer fan unless they’re like, Metriodvania type things. Stuff like 2D Mario doesn’t grip me anymore but I do like stuff like Shantae and Rogue Legacy, with exploration of old locales and…
I’ve mentioned it elsewhere in these comments but what about Vampire: the Masquerade? It’s always dirt cheap on sale and after some patching it’s good to go. For all its problems it’s one of the most captivating worlds I’ve been sucked into and I think it’s aged pretty well.
I remember back in the day when I had Oblivion on 360 and wanted to try it on PC because apparently mods were so amazing and awesome, but the family desktop couldn’t even boot the fucker. Yet now my also piece of crap laptop can run Skyrim just fine - basic, but fine, and good enough when I’m away from my PC for a…
I play this through at least once a year, from my very first laptop at the start of the naughties up to my beast of a desktop today. Fucking gem of a game with the perfect difficulty that’s aged brilliantly, especially with wide-screen mods. If the original devs gathered to make something similar to these old Sierra…
So many people complaining about supposed quality yet DoTT is an absolute classic, and the remaster was worth its full price. Broaden your horizons a little, guys. If you divide games into ‘triple A’ and ‘not triple A’ and perceive more quality and value to the former then you’re missing out on gems.
I didn’t play 5 until a few years ago, probably because so little fuss was made of it that I tended to play and complete the ‘popular’ ones first. And when I did it shot straight into my top 5.
Hyper Marlon Planet 3 was awesome. Todd is also my favourite racer in Marlon Cart!
