The solution to guns is not more guns. “Hardening” schools isn’t going to stop shootings. It might make them slightly less likely at schools. But are going to harden movie theaters, concerts, playgrounds, malls, grocery stores?

Madison Cawthorn isn’t starting Dark MAGA. It’s already a movement. There’s a flood of jokes and misunderstood information like that about it now in the media. But Youtuber Beau of the Fifth Column reminded me that you can use a Google Search tool to restrict the dates on searches.

This could help bring people to the root cause. There are plenty of countries that have lots of guns but don’t have daily mass shootings. It’s our culture that’s sick. As a country, we fetishize guns as symbols of power and masculinity. So when these shooters feel weak and powerless, they decide a gun is the answer.
