And this is not even a quarter of what China has been pouring into their EV industry over the last 5 years (covering subsidies of battery companies as well) so as much as we think EVs are getting a free ride in the USA, we aren’t even comparable to China’s EV subsidies. We play with tax credits and stupid stuff while

Over 22K miles on my C40, tires look great but our EV6 had to replace all tires at around 20K miles - I think wife’s driving style is a bit more aggressive than mine even though she claims to always be in Eco Mode LOL

You mean just like the Macan ICE? Although the rear is a bit more soapy than the ICE but still - same design language.

Why not? $7500 free USA subsidies for leases is a no brainer for Porsche Finance.

Different strokes for different folks - it’s all about options for everyone. Personally, I like the front of the Macan EV way more than the Lyriq but the Macan rear as as generic as it gets. You’re either a “Porsche” guy or your not because it’s never a good value. Just like getting a Corvette is always a better deal

This is the real deal, and for a similar price, the Cybertruck is now dead to me.

Since it’s premium car pricing, might as well wait to see what the Porsche Macan EV brings to the table tomorrow because what’s another $10K at this point? None of these cars are getting the US $7500 tax credit.

LOL you’re going after a YouTuber for misinformation? How about we go after the Enquirer next for misrepresenting EV range? good lord, it’s a slow news day

THIS

LOL catalytic converters are expensive and easy to steal - my niece’s neighborhood was hit and a bunch of Prius’ were robbed of theirs. What do you want automakers to do to secure that? If the part costs enough, people will do whatever it takes to pull your car apart and the police DON’T CARE because this is

WOW, ok this is an EV I’d get on a waiting list to buy

1st Gear: so the only way you can throw shade at the EV space is to talk about the vagaries of stock prices? Stocks going up and down have zero bearing on the actual upside of these EV companiess. Was Tesla EVs any better/worse when their stock was up? Did Rivian have any better prospects when their stock was at their

With dips and pot holes a common hazard for suburban drivers, I want THIS. I’m always afraid I’d bottom out in my EV6 while going 35 MPH because the damn dip is not visible at night. I’ve been tempted to get either the Rivian or Cybertruck because of the better suspension travel, but this Switchgear looks like it’s

EV shoppers need to understand the nuanced complexities of performance metrics when it comes to charging speed:

I still enjoy having my turn signal on the steering column’s stalk near my fingers rather as a haptic button on the steering wheel.

Overpriced for a rushed product - I’m glad GM is putting something out that isn’t terrible but the value falls short of the Model Y, EV6 and Ioniq 5. I’m in the market for a great EV SUV between $60K and $80K (tax credit maximum) but this Blazer feels more like a $40K car to me. Above $60K are the Kia EV9 (starting at

Based on pricing, I wonder how many are cross shopping the Cybertruck with this? For around $73K (after $7,500 incentive) the Cybertruck AWD goes against the Overtrail, and already the Lexus interior feels a bit more suitable to the price whereas the Tesla interior is definitely mid-grade economy class fit for $30K

Agree agree - it’s all about controlling the platform for potential subscription revenues in the future. This idiocy is a big reason why I canceled my Silverado EV reservation.

It’s not CarPlay that’s buggy but the car’s software - it really depends on the car. My CarPlay works fine with my car’s software (Android Auto on the C40)

THIS attitude at GM and similar legacy automakers is why I’m more interested in Volvo EVs as they are fully committed to Android Auto - let the experts figure out the software while you focus on the hardware. My C40 with Android Auto has been solid over almost 2 years of daily use with the only issue being the map/GPS
