This. I hate these bogus “articles”.

Living in SoCal, I’ve experienced complete freeway shutdowns at least once every 18 months or so. These “sig-alerts” are pretty common in SoCal. From brush fire to car fires to bad pile ups. The worst one was when an oil tanker exploded on a freeway overpass which collapsed over the I-15, the ONLY freeway connecting

Yes, newer cars are more reliable than older cars. Where do you get your crazy ideas? Here’s one for you: “Are older tires better than newer tires?

You assume wrongly that people share your car design aesthetics. You assume that people want the appearance of a “unified whole”; what about those who enjoy the deconstructed look from highlighting just the door trim? I am not attracted to a 250 lb. woman wearing a bikini (though many men are), so who am I to body

No different than spending $40k+ on similar vehicles: Type R, Focus RS, Mustang GT, Camaro SS, 230i, WRX Sti. By all accounts, the Golf R more than holds its own against all these competitors and more often than not, is the preferred daily driver over the alternatives due to better interior/comfort.

In other words you used common sense relevant to UX while they probably used something stupid like chronological order of historical significance or god forbid, alphabetical order.

You nailed the mainstream preference: most common colors purchased are white and grey/silver.

Just like the Church of Mustang or Camaro - definitely not for me, but there’s one of each at every Cars & Coffee meetup. Personally, I’d take the Fiat 124 Abarth if only it had the Alfa 4C’s wildly crazy engine, even with the DCT transmission. (Full Disclosure: had a new Miata for 3 years as DD 15 years ago, and

This: “OK, actually, I’ll take sixth gear, which is good for cruising and fuel efficiency, but fifth gear isn’t good for cruising and isn’t powerful enough for highway passing.”

I love that the largest oil producing country in the world may be a serious option to take Tesla private, oh the irony.

3rd Gear: When a fully loaded Chevy Traverse is $55,000 MSRP, I don’t know how much of a “premium” experience Cadillac offers since a well optioned XT5 is also $55,000. Same with Ford’s Explorer Platinum also $55,000; isn’t the Aviator also expected to start at $50K? Loaded Ford Mustang GT350 is over $60,000, while a

When? Never, because the same reason nobody on Jalop addresses another dead loser, Henry Ford. People tend not to throw dirt on the dead, because it’s just not as cathartic. Because they’re now dead, nobody cares.

Look on the bright side - Consumer Reports consistently rate the Fiesta among the Least Reliable 10 cars. So maybe it does belong in Europe with Alfa and Fiat.

Ironically, the super expensive hand built cars are the least reliable. I really don’t want somebody hand soldering my navigation system.

Neutral: Our last 3 company trucks were F150s. So to switch to the Chevy, I think it would have to be a little bit of everything:

Hmmm, sounds like those 5 interesting things were also available last year on the 2018 model, sooooo.. nothing new?

As much as the boy inside me loves this concept, the minivan consumer in me knows full well that nobody will buy it. 90% of the minivan decision is on the mothers, and they want more comfort/luxury/convenience not less. They’ll pay $50,000 for the pimped out “Limited” model but would only buy the “Sport” model because

He needed the cash from the IPO.
