I love that feature in Google Maps and wish that Waze had this feature. Also, I think Google Maps does a better job of rerouting if you miss a turn. Waze seems stubborn about this.

Concealed carry for a teacher, not a very good idea. Proficiency in a weapon system takes ten of thousands of rounds on target. I had to practice hundreds of times just reaching for my weapon on instinct before I was good at it.
