Having Nic Cage play Scarecrow would have been an interesting casting decision in that instead of Scarecrow being scary in the movie, it would be more of a meta-horror in that the audience would fear seeing Nic Cage play Scarecrow.

But for God's sake, people of the same gender are kissing and loving eachother and putting rings on eachothers fingers and saying they'll kiss and love eachother forever! That sort of thing ruins the everyday lives of hardworking, American bigots!

a/s/l?

I was kind of thinking the same thing.

Ok, tried to post a picture of Balrog from SF2. Apparently it didn't take. Joke fail.

That's an interesting point. There are near-immortal species, I suppose. I guess they don't live much of an existence though.

The premise of this show would be a lot more interesting if she wasn't some kind of uber do-gooder. For instance, she could have run a clinic, but maybe wasn't very good at it. She made some bad relationship decisions after he left her. Oh, and he left her because she had a bit of a drinking problem.

I would suggest that Up isn't really a part of this sub-genre. First, she dies near the beginning. We're shown that his life with her was beautiful and loving. After she's gone he reverts into somewhat of a curmudgeon and goes on a crazy, awesome adventure. During the adventure he learns something about life.

The thing I'm wondering right now is what the female version of the "nice guy" is. There are some very cruel things being said in these discussion threads about men, but I wonder what sorts of women are out there perpetrating similar faux pas.

For the panel shown above of the new Starfire, I imagine the next few panels going something along the lines of the guy explaining to Starfire that there's much more to life then just sex, and she's better then that. A good, if rather strange, lesson is learned and the character of Starfire grows in a meaningful way.

When I see an attractive girl, that thought usually seeps in there too. Honestly, as IF an attractive girl wouldn't be seeing someone already.

I don't know if other dudes do this, but when I come across a girl that I find attractive, my thought process goes something like this:

So if a species were capable of controlling their surroundings and creating an environment which was ideal for them, then this could be where the downside of immortality is lost. I'm betting living in some sort of static environment wouldn't be very interesting though.

That's an answer that makes sense to me. The laser analogy works.

:(

I'm sure I've asked this before in similar Higgs Boson threads, but...why?

Honey I Shrunk the Kids. The premise is there for a fun, imaginative movie, and they could do so much with currnt CG.

Sometimes my ex would ask me what my kink was, and I honestly couldn't answer. I never had any wild fantasies or specific things I wanted to do in bed. I just wanted good sex in lots of fun positions, and I would like to think I was pretty damn imaginitive. She wanted to be tied up, which I was willing to try out,

Replace Jar-Jar Binks with Howard the Duck.
