What if we have games on our external drive that qualify for smart delivery? Will it tell us we can upgrade when we start to play?

What this article doesn’t mention is that you will be able to store next gen games on a traditional hard drive. You’ll still do some shuffling, but it’s a much cheaper storage option than the expansion card.

It‘s not like you‘d find a 1TB NVMe SSD that supports PCIe 4 for much less than that while not having to worry about connecting shitty cabeling to your console.

That’s just the cost of the technology, which is still incredibly new. A comparable speed/size drive for a desktop costs about the same.

Ya, but at least they will have competition against each other and will hopefully drive prices down. Samsung, WD, Seagate, Crucial, Intel (etc.) will all want a piece of that action.

$220 is nothing to scoff at, and we still don’t know exactly which NVME drives the PS5 will be compatible with, but we do know they have to be PCIe 4.0 compliant and they aren’t any cheaper.

Well with that kind of perception supposedly widely held you’d think I would’ve been able to preorder an Xbox Series X today, but no, they fucking sold out.

No, trademarks in the US mostly work fine. Trademarks are industry-specific; that’s why there can be a company named Kohler that makes engines and an unrelated company called Kohler that makes toilets.

A couple notes that I think this article really should have brought up:

I’ve used Gamepass on PC, other than needing more games it seemed to work just fine.

They are in the process of testing a feature that will allow you to sign into multiple devices at once. The only exception is if you are playing a game you can only do so on one device.

“Sadly, given the nature of the situation at hand, we are unable to simply flip a switch. We believe ourselves to be dealing with the complexities of the matter in a way that ensures the best quality product is delivered to storefronts as the industry navigates the transition to next-generation consoles.”

“Haven’t play this game so far, but that won’t stop me from making up ways to shit on it.”

If the name of the system will prevent you from buying or enjoying it, you seem to have a lot of problems that are non-gaming related.
The playstation naming scheme ist for people for which it is a problem to do anything else but count simple numbers.
MS actually did something kinda clever with the X box One X - X-B-O-X.

You still might decide it is not for you, but I would suggest at least finding some better written reviews as I have no clue what Ari was smoking when trying to play this..

Seriously I don’t really get that review, it’s not hard at all actually. You choose ONE weapon skill for one character, one or two competence skills like hacking or whatever, and that’s it. The stats are pretty safe explanatory but luck, which gives you more chance to crit or have free actions. That’s it. 6 very high

I must say I am quite surprise with this review. I’m completely new to this franchise, playing on hard, and I barely ever faced a full wipe so far (about 15 hours in I’d say, fights are starting to be quite challenging). Some fights were hard but a summoned turret which would draw fire and a few other smokes would

I feel like you might have turned off the tutorials, where it does actually walk you through quite a bit of this stuff specifically mentioned in this review. Off the top of my head, there’s a few popup tutorials that happen in your first few combats.

A pretty clear explanation of how armor works and how it impacts
