News flash:

Note to self: far, far less powerful systems aren't as powerful as more powerful systems.

Thanks for keying me into this shocking information.

New-gen consoles have barely been out for a year, but there's already a familiar story: a game launches and runs great on the PS4 and Xbox One, much less so on the PS3 and 360. Shadow of Mordor was an egregious example of this performance gap, but it's not the only one. Is there any hope for last-gen gamers?

That is so awesome. I can't wait to try it and fail spectacularly. Do you think I'll finally get a Suros to drop then?

And they're right to believe it. As I explained in my post above, we gamers aren't the force to reckon with that we used to be. Nowadays more sales are to be had with the "mindless gamers" (although try not to use terms like that, those people just haven't made gaming their primary pastime and they have every right to

Good attitude, maybe it's an underhanded marketing ploy or whatever but I'm a bit more tempted to buy the game now. Fine with Early Access, been playing theHunter: Primal and that's as bare bones as it gets.

The problem is that they actually believe that.

The huge problem here isn't as simple as publishers pushing studios to ship broken games. It's why they do this. They do this because releasing at a certain time instead of another ensures better sales. A game like Witcher 3 might get away with pushing its release back further but AC isn't as niche as Witcher is. They

The fighting game community desperately needs better commentators.

Hopefully this is a lesson Bungie takes to heart moving forward. There are ways to give non-raiders or newcomers the ability to catch up with long timers without stabbing those same old hands in the back.

Now I really love Destiny. Just straight up shooter gameplay wise it's one of the best games out there, marrying many of the best traits other popular FPS introduced in a tight package. And I love the many varied activities it has that you can do with your friends.

I agree with a lot of your points, Jason (seriously, putting better-than-VoG gear on a vendor was a terrible move), but I swear, sometimes I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when people complain about your gear increasing your level. It's literally the EXACT SAME THING as an item level in any other MMO. All Bungie did

This is actually one of the few things I like about destiny. Since the only good portions in the game are when you are above level 20 I enjoy the quick leveling. It reduces the grinding that is required for other MMO's.

It's very much like becoming a better car driver after riding a motorcycle. Your situational awareness and your attitude to other road users is radically different.

If making them simple also would remove the bad sides of this marionette-dance, while still being fun and challenging.

I'm down with it. Mass Effect 3 had really good horde mode. It was simple, but the way you used your skills and your group acted against dynamicly changing sittulations would mean life or death.

You don't even need to do that anymore. You can open the Dungeon Journal at any time in the game, select the Dungeon/Raid you want to do, on what difficulty (normal/heroic) and choose the boss you want to kill. The journal tells you everything you need to know about the bosses, and it is separated to the role you play

It's basically impossible to pull aggro off of a tank now.

I see both sides of this. On one hand, it's a game and the idea that you have to do (essentially) homework to play a game is pretty stupid. On the other hand, you are asking other people to give their time to participate in the group content, and once you get into the serious content (i.e. heroics and raids — you can

Friedman's idea for a fix is excellent. Someone implement that, please.

So wait to clarify what I am reading lol, you can only upgrade your current exotics IF Xur has that specific exotic available for the week? I can't just upgrade all of my exotics at one time?
