HoS is really a MOBA for people who don’t generally like MOBAs. It’s a really good entry into the series, and if you just want to get in, play a few rounds and get out without being forced into more homework than a AP Physics class, then HoS is your choice.

This was basically EXACTLY what I came here to say. In addition, fixing matchmaking so that you don’t have a Diablo, an Arthas, a Tyrael, a Li Li, and a Valla, where you just KNOW you are going to get stomped no matter what you do. Or three Specialist, a Support, and a Tank.
All the reporting feature does is if a player gets enough reports, it forces them to look at logs to determine if they are actually idle or not. It’s not like you report a player and they get automatically banned.
Exactly this. The fact that is was so sudden and without reason was what caused so many to have the feel and it's what gave the death so much impact and in the end purpose. It's one of the things Whedon excels at and its part of why he's so revered.
