I was going to suggest covering parking spaces next (similarly to keep rain, sun, and snow off cars as well as generate some power), but your idea isn’t without merit in some areas.

That’s BTU’s, not kWh. Wrong graph.

Do the math.
Incandescent bulb consmes 60w.

Uh, dude, the link I gave you? That’s from *Home Depot*. Home Depot is a national retail chain, not a “spam site”.

Actually, I *do* work a desk job. Guess what? We have switched to LED lighting, and did it a long time ago. We have not had a run on our eye care insurance in the years since.

Look, you seem to have some

If you’re looking for true consistent color temperature, you are likely paying more than a few dollars for those bulbs (I did when I was a photographer). I’ve owned a few different brands and wattages of LED bulbs and fixtures, and never had issues with light quality from LED bulbs. I have from cheap compact

I think that’s the contrast with your situation - most people don’t have a flat rate charge for electricity - it’s based on actual usage in kilowatt-hours.

If you have a flat rate bill, then you have little incentive to change to anything more efficient.

Anywhere else I have lived, folks are billed for their usage

I attended two different high schools (family moves).
High School 1 - Mostly rural town roughly midway between two larger metro areas. This meant we had a decent number of commuter familes. The lot was a lot of late 80's to mid 90's domestics with a few interesting cars sprinkled in - one Integra, a couple Mustangs.

How did you get a photo of the crappy landlord’s car from down the street?

What, no love for the pluckly Montana minivan?

This was a camping trip staple. I’ve learned this is one of the few times not buying the cheapest bags make a difference, so we only buy Ziplok for these adventures. Maybe it’s different now, but they were the only bags that didn’t give an off taste.

This though now is the only way we make breakfast burritos in our

It’s Illinois, and more accurately, Chicago. Don’t attempt your logic here.

The funny thing is, some of those old speakers are pretty good, and can be had for incredibly cheap. The little T-amp is pretty clean, and you get some embarassingly good sound out of the setup.

My music choice is all over the map. However, just having music in the shop is a huge advantage, and in my opinion, you don’t have to break the bank for decent audio.

This seems like a decent deal for a phone CD slot mount:

As poster Freddie DeBoer said, brine is your friend. I have done both dry and wet brine, and those birds have both turned out amazing spatchcocked.

I will say make sure to put some liquid and veggies in the pan under the bird. I used a pair of cooking sheets, put in some veggie stock, plus carrots, onions, rosemary,

Uggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

There needs to be an etiquite class or something in school. I’m picturing 50's style black and white educational films about Johnny and Susie and how not to be the ghost of dates past or something.

While not nearly as bad of a trip, I feel you, and I’ve made a similar trip, only to arrive and be dumped.
I drowned my sorrows in burritos and iced tea on my way home.

Who knows, maybe someday I’ll find out the story. Maybe she was seeing someone else at the same time, and decided to cut me off.
I don’t dwell on it much anymore - I’m married, have a beautiful kiddo, and beyond the normal headaches of adult life, I’m pretty happy.

Never knew there was a term for it.
I still wonder what happened to the gal I was dating a few years ago. She essentially disappeared - wouldn’t return e-mails, calls, etc. Literally the last date was dinner out, noticing her headlight was out, fixing the headlight, hug and kiss goodbye after a long hug waiting for her
