Didn't say I didn't like it! I like messed up things. For the most part.

God dammit Aikage, where do you find this shit.
Digitally, it was on sale on PSN for like $10 a couple weeks ago and I picked it up then. It's also been on sale on Amazon for under $20 quite a few times.
Edited, and deleted because I can't read.
Oh, that's pretty cool then. I hope it does happen soon!
Hey, I'm not saying I want it, just saying that MS probably wants to do it.
There are other factors though. Going completely digital means cutting out the middle man. Money that would go to retail/distribution/licensing (I assume that MS has to pay the Blu-ray Disk Association for licensing their tech for each X1/game sold, looking here you can see its not a neglible cost) would just be split…
Kotaku should have a Konami code easter egg too.
Uhhhhh... yeah it says just that!
Same here, though for me it came from watching pro DOTA. This article sums up my feelings quite nicely:
So, technically consoles are able to do this, but you need to mod your actual console to enable it to play homebrew games. Since consoles are closed systems, a user can't run unsigned code on the system. The system just wont recognize it.
Ah I see, my bad. I don't have a Wii U yet (will get one once Smash Bros comes out).
See, I feel you are making way too many excuses for a company that's been in this business for close to 30 years. They've been in the games industry for longer than both Sony and Microsoft. What you are basically saying is that Nintendo should not have to learn from its competitors to make a product on equal standing.…
I hope you keep mentioning it. Things don't change unless people rant on about it.
I should have made my original point clearer, I wasn't really talking about online gaming which according to people that have used it, works just fine. I was talking about online infrastructure, which includes things like having a unified account between Nintendo devices, cross-buy for virtual console games and…
But friending is awesome! You haven't lived until you friended!
Releases console with online infrastructure behind every other competitor in the market.
I'm mainly talking infrastructure, and not specifically calling out online multiplayer (which I've honestly not even tried yet). The things you mention, plus better friending and we'll be golden.
What zerokel said. I'd also add a better friending system (two way confirm is the worst), cross-buy for virtual console games and a better organized store. Basically copy PSN (although PSN's store still needs work too).
