I'm confused. 10bit offers better compression with better picture quality compared to 8bit. If the subbers are encoding correctly, a 10-bit encode should almost always be smaller than an 8-bit encode. The only reason to dislike 10-bit encodes is that they dont work on a good portion of common media players and legacy

That's cool. Twitch.tv needs a new competitor now that own3D is dead.

Yeah, its a pretty cheap visual tactic that screams, "You! Consumer over there! I am sure you are stupid!".

Oops. I retract my complaint!

Hey, while I'm not saying an inordinate amount of attention is being given to these two, there are a couple of really cool videos you seem to be missing out on!

Hey! To be fair its a pretty generic and forgettable name. Compare "Sin" to Sephiroth, Kefka, Kuja. It just doesn't really stand out.

I enjoyed FFX completely, but man the villain is completely forgettable. Can't even remember his name. I even remember Kimahri, and I never used him at all in battle.

If I remember correctly, didn't the international version have a better sphere grid or something? I don't remember there being trailers or interviews though. Might have missed it.

From the first trailer, I remember really not liking the dialogue, though maybe it was just the VA not doing a great job. The setting seems cool though.

I actually really disagree with your first point. While I haven't played the Thief games, after playing Dishonored I can say for certain that I don't prefer the First Person perspective when it comes to stealth games. The only reason it worked in Dishonored was because of the level design and blink. Any time I had to

I think its just because they are a lot more visible. We know the movie directors, but we rarely hear about the the execs in Hollywood, and its not like they have something like E3 where they directly interact with the press. (or maybe they do and I'm just being completely ignorant. I'm not really a movie person)

Your point? I don't have a 360 and can easily admit I really like the Halo series.

Why secretly? Wear that badge with pride.

I haven't played too many JRPGs this gen, but Xenoblade Chronicles was by far my favorite. Can't wait for Monolith's next game!

First thing I thought when I saw the Volus.

It's not really a security issue, its a privacy issue. The only details you could get were the games owned by a person and their achievement pages. I don't know if I consider that "sensitive" information, but hey if people want to keep that private, more power to them.

So after a long break, I've started commenting on Kotaku again. I never really left, I was just turned off by the commenting system. Now, the problem that I want to bring up after having a few drawn out conversation in the comments this past week, is that the way things are organized now isn't really ideal.

This seems pretty cool, especially the watch with others for replays. I hope that Valve copies that soon for Dota 2.

Watched it on a whim on CR fully expecting to not like it, and now its my most anticipated anime each week!
