“White people didn’t do a damn thing about the lynch mobs, lunch counters or Jim Crow. We did.”

Derrick Johnson is an amazing man who’s done some great work. I’ve worked with him on some education initiatives. My hope is that now that he’s leading the NAACP, we’ll see a lot more happening. But he does have some old heads in this org that are happy being complacent. It’s going to take some work.

Colorado passed an “English Only” bill in the Nineties. It worked quite well (I’m joking).

yup, because students whispering to each other during class is a brand new thing. What’s next, note passing? Good lord these hooligans.

DISHONEST?! You can miss me with all that.

EXACTLY!!!

It’s comical that the Cherokee nation is worried about their lineage when they are the joke of the tribal community, since they allow sooooooooooo many white people to claim their tribal status. This is a race issue 100%. They have no blood quantum requirement and it is a major joke among natives that Cherokees are

they will break anyone’s back while stepping on it, all in order to maintain whatever it is they think they deserve.

it’s in their DNA.

I just started sobbing at my desk.

I work for an organization that is trying to make Montessori schools accessible to every child. The love Philando’s school had for him makes my heart hurt for those children he left behind. This is amazing news, I just wish he was still alive to be the one spearheading this program. Out of tragedy comes hope I

do you know if he is pursuing a civil suit? I hope so, the therapy he is going through cannot be easy on his family.

This infuriates me. I follow him on IG and a better man he couldn’t be. I am so, so, so furious at this country right now.

Meanwhile he’s sitting in a darkened room muttering “my precious,” to an Orange Satan bobble head

I feel you 100 percent. The courts just ruled that the freedmen are to be given back their status with the Cherokee nation, so I would pull up all records you have on your lineage and go apply immediately. The Cherokee nation is much more lax on proving status but they mainly use that for white folk. But a genealogist

Colorado does it every year.

There is one thing I will say about growing up in Colorado, Juneteenth was always celebrated for as long as I can remember. Sadly the community where the Juneteenth parade is held is becoming heavily carpetbagged. Which has led to many of us wondering how soon this parade and holiday will be Columbused and

also, I cackled at the “halfrican” joke.

YES!!!
