The painting of Hojo isn’t worth speculating about as that is factually Lucrecia. You can see the brown hair, fair skin tone, and the lab coat over the blue blouse with the frilly lining down the middle of it. That is one of the outfits she’s regularly depicted in, most recently in FFVII Ever Crisis.

Remake was a sequel as well... They’re very definitely sequels. 

It’s like people skipped the entire last three hours of the game. It baffles me that anyone who played remake missed the fact that this is NOT just a retelling of the original story. 

Me: “I just want a slightly nicer looking and better translated version of the original.”

While I don’t have any issues with this being the case, I still wish they would have done a remake of the original game as well. Or even just a remaster with upscaled or redone backgrounds and models and fixing the janky translations.

It wasn’t that difficult to infer after the events of Remake alone.

Yeah, exclusives are great for platform holders and the devs/pubs that sign exclusivity deals. They just suck for consumers. Ideally, everyone would benefit from business decisions, not just the platform holders and their partners.
