I think this looks fantastic. A well made return to basics, that ignores a lot of that “new” that was added, and focuses on horror is exactly what I want out of a new Alien. What’s unique here is that it’s being directed by somebody actually known for horror. That’s never really happened before despite it being one of

Not surprised, it’s Boeing, making aircraft is just a front, their real business is killing people...

The job of insurance companies should be to secure funds and serve their customers, not do everything they possibly can to figure out how to not pay their customers in their time of need so that they keep it for themselves. For profit insurance should be illegal.

I find the location of the photophores intriguing. While some predators like angler fish have tiny bioluminescent points that lure prey, these are huge, and almost look like eyes, and I can’t help but wonder if it startles some prey into swimming up, attempting escape, directing them right into the beak of the squid.

People have quite pleasantly explained the logistics of an expanding universe, but I’d like to add that while unlikely—so far as we can tell the universe is flat, think euclidean geometry. No matter how large, a triangle’s angles will add up to 180 degrees—it’s still possible that the universe is actually donut

Here’s the photo I took of R3664 today!

I thought the same, but then I read this quote from Phil Belanger who led the name selection: “We needed something that was a little catchier than ‘IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence. The only reason that you hear anything about “Wireless Fidelity” is some of my colleagues in the group were afraid. They didn’t understand

This blows my mind. To me, going for a good hike is one of the best things you could do with your time, dodging rocks, and climbing trees is so much better than the bland sterility of a gym and treadmill. Unfortunately for me, I currently live at the bottom of an ancient lakebed and it’s about as flat as you can get,

Riiiight. The blatant hypocrisy you display is worthy of a seat with MAGA. “being tolerant of intolerance is not a good things,” says the person squawking on about their intolerance to everybody they interact with. And I’m not just talking the NPC thing, you told somebody that simply mentioned they can make better hot

I’m with you. What PS5 games are targeting 30fps 1080p? Resolution scaling leading to better performance implies GPU bottlenecking. If games are hitting 60fps 1080p then a better GPU with the same CPU should allow for 60fps at a higher resolution. GTA6 is still to be seen, sure, but they said already existing games.

“The games that are targeting 30fps right now are not going to be targeting 60 frames per second on PlayStation 5 Pro if they’re CPU-limited,”

CPU bottlenecking is real and technically that statement makes sense, but games that target 30fps on PS5 typically do so at a higher resolution, while they target 60fps at a

There is a certain type of person who ridicules others for mocking imaginary people, while in the same breath they justify mocking actual people...

Why do you care so much that somebody referenced a game term for an imaginary unspecific person? It literally hurts nobody while you’re sitting here attacking actual people. You come across like you’re having an emotional breakdown... I can only imagine that this is some hardcore projection and you spend a lot of time

Dude... you alright?

I don’t know, I gave Biden $40 and asked him to fill up my tank the other day, said it only got him one gallon. But then I remembered that I don’t even have a car, and I still wonder what the president was doing in that back alley wearing a trench coat full of newspapers...

Hey now, Shane gives some of us hope that maybe, just maybe we can be loved too! I mean, probably not, but maybe!

What a strange thing to say... I can assure you that he occupies 0% of my typical daily consciousness, which is obviously not true for you... I have no idea who you are, and now my first and foremost association with you will forever be Andrew Tate. Enjoy thinking about him I guess? I sure won’t be lol

The PS4 Pro launched at $400, the same launch price of the base PS4. So it would be nice if they stuck with $500 while giving the base model a discount, but the way capitalism has been capitalizing lately I have a hard time seeing that actually happen, I can’t see more than $600 though after all the flak they took for

That Spectral Dolphin tho...

I wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled some NVIDIA/AMD math and calculated that as being the equivalent TFLOPS if you were natively rendering the “PSSR” FPS output. Kind of like how DLSS 3 Frame Generation can get you twice the number of frames, but not because it’s actually twice the rendering power. But it also does
