If there’s ever going to be a definition of a bad-faith take, this article should be cited as an example in its entirety. It’s contrarian simply for the sake of being contrarian. Here’s the thing: thinking that The Short Message mishandles its themes jsut because it doesn’t present them in a fashion as deep as a

Fwiw, most of the chase sequences seem to have flashlights on the ground that give a hint on the direction you should go. Always run to the light.
The final one is a bit more annoying. While the phone gives you some indication of where the pickup is, you still have to get to the vicinity. Following the light seems to

There’s also social media isolation, validation obsession, family trauma, jealousy, and mental health issues.

It gave me the impression there is a little more nuance here than just bullying. Yeah that’s part of it but it seems like there are other issues at play that were glanced over.

These sequences require the player to run down a series of repeating hallways in search of the right path that gets you to the next step of the game’s story. The problem is that there isn’t any guidance on how to navigate these mazes

Marketing tends to focus on spectacle and combat is usually that spectacle. I wouldn’t conclude that they’re turning SH2 into an action game based on this trailer alone.

i have read multiple story summations and i still have no clue what in the everloving fuck the first game was about, so this seems pretty on brand. its a beautifully rendered fever dream, an lsd trip with a physical disc.

One thousand games come out every year. Let us have something truly weird and visionary. “Artsy” as you put it. We need it.

I really disagree, I think there should be places in the industry for artistic expression and experimentation. Not everything has to be a cookie-cutter gameplay experience. While yeah Death Stranding wasn’t for me for the most part I appreciate the effort to try new things and I think we should encourage more of that

I’ll definitely try it, since it’s free (I will not be surprised if it somehow has a battle pass tho :P ). As much as I dislike Konami, I love Silent Hill, and I will come crawling back if they make things that are actually -good-.

GB:Relink, P3R, and FFVII Remake part 2.

The Nintendo *product* “It hurts your eyes!” meme goes back all the way to the beginning! =) I know exactly why that Red/Black is etched in your mind. Because it was physically etched into your mind!

“Everything we know about the Nintendo Switch 2"

they read the article on Kotaku about being tired of punching rocks and it broke their hearts so they gave up.

I’ll be the stick in the mud and say I’ve kinda gotten sick of guest characters when these teams are so capable of creating cool original fighters.

We all know what is coming next.

1995 was too soon, the technology hadn’t matured yet.

But it’s been nearly 30 years, the time is now.

For the Virtual Boy 2.

I think I just contracted malaria from reading this comment

NO NO NO NO NOOOOOO!!! Tacked-on Multiplayer NEVER helps a Singleplayer title. They should be kept separate.
