Except we have facts saying one thing and only your guess work saying another thing. Like jezuz Brian, do you always find it this hard to acknowledge facts that are not in your favour?

Also do you even know what inflation is? You understand inflation is companies passing on potential losses to you to maintain profit.

Actually Sony did publish the numbers. There is a Verge article from August 2021 you can look up if the link is broken in this reply, it includes a link to the numbers Sony published. In any case, the other guy was right. They raised the price to secure the profit gains they had already made, not because they were

Not to mention people don’t really understand what they own when they own a disc. They think they own the data when the reality is they own a license. The only practical difference between a digital copy of a game these days and a physical copy is the physical copy grants a transferable license. Ultimately it depends

Inflation didn’t exist between 1980 and 2005 when game consoles got cheaper expe each year instead of more expensive?

I’m pretty much in the same boat...Gonna have to buy one for Rebirth. There are at least I few other games I’ll play for sure, but probably not enough to justify.

Got a genuine giggle from this :)

You suggest that there is is not a ton of black holes but by definition super massive black holes are, well... Super massive and thus are many millions of tons.

“It’s a shame that Amazon took the cheapest route ... without even taking the time to do any sort of quality control”

No one is asking the reader to crack open the scientific paper, but we are hoping that readers read *beyond* the headline, which is a wholly reasonable ask, particularly when the headline is technically correct—and there’s only so much you can articulate in a headline, particularly for a complex science story such as

Actually, Isaac was correct to use the term “organic matter,” as that’s exactly what this is. And in fact, the scientists themselves use the term extensively in their paper to describe this discovery; you can read it here:

Kotaku trades in controversy clicks

I have literally have not seen anyone but Kotaku pushing the race stuff

I frequent a fair number of gaming sites/communities and I must say, it doesn’t really seem like anyone other than Kotaku is making FF16 out to be some big controversial thing.

no.. you’re soulless take on it is the weird one.

I’m talking more about set dressing. Like what kind of chair is the character sitting in? What tchotchkes are on the bookshelves or the desk? What kind of pen are they taking notes with? What lamps are on the end tables? What curtains are on the windows? Or are they blinds? Or pull shades? Are the windows divided

When a director is good, everything in every scene is there for a reason.  You may not even know it consciously, but it affects the overall experience.

Exactly. We all know the story of Luke. But the implication here would’ve been that his actions were so powerful and inspiring it crossed over into universal lexicon. I’m not a big fan of the interconnectedness of the saga either, and that last movie was just painful to watch after the unique setups that TLJ offered.

Wow, I have the exact same criticisms of Star Wars that you do - and yet I COMPLETELY disagree .

Yes, Star Wars absolutely forces too many DIRECT connections between the main characters of the stories - which does indeed make the universe feel too small. I have to wonder if that flaw is coloring your view of this idea
