Sandy is a weird one. It wasn’t that the storm itself was all that bad, it’s that it basically created everyone’s worst-case scenario when it came to high tide. The winds knocked a bunch of power out, but what really caused issues was that water came up way past where anyone thought possible.

I just buckle my groceries or other bulky items in with the seatbelt. Then I don’t have to worry if a fine, upstanding New Jersey driver cuts me off that my heavy items are about to projectile around the car.

I see what you’re saying. To extend the comparison to the McD’s coffee, where the determination was 80% McD’s/20% consumer, this might be more like 60% consumer/40% Tesla. Tesla’s not 100% blameless necessarily, but they’re also not 100% responsible.

Actually, McD’s hot coffee was unacceptably hot, and the lawsuit was legit. McD’s did an excellent PR job of convincing everyone it was frivolous but it was actually really, really serious.

No, they edited the Cult shooting right after Las Vegas. IIRC the FX app on my Roku had both versions up, and it didn’t seem that different.

It is very likely I am one of like 5 people in the world who remember this, but there was a Jane Bond series where James Bond’s lesbian sister pretends to be him.
