Exactly. It’s not like she has the right to sell it and steal the proceeds-she just isn’t being booted out of her own home. It’s a super common estate plan for second marriages where one spouse owned the property, as it accomplishes what most people would want. Their kids (eventually) inherit everything, but the

A part of me wonders if that’s the point-scare the crap out of the kid by charging her, let the court play good cop and let her off with a stern warning, and she walks away thoroughly freaked. That’s the ONLY scenario where I can see them taking an 8yr old to court and being able to sort of justify it.

My parents have lost a number of electronic devices to sudden high tide waves on the Jersey shore, so I think this just means the ocean has a taste for expensive electronics. Forget sharks, the high tide is coming for your car and your iPhone.

One correction: the NJ gubernatorial primary is June 6th. The winners of the GOP and Dem nominations will move on to the general in November. So anyone who wants to vote for Brennan, go vote on June 6th.

Bingo!

I’m not sure my kid has figured out how door locks work, but he definitely knows how to open the windows.

I don’t blame you! I get the same way about stuff like that, and EZ Pass seems to have built their entire business around seeing if anyone notices when they find a way to “accidentally” charge more.

My kid has been pretty good (mostly), but my dog once ate an entire bag of mint chocolate kisses and decided the right time to throw them all up was en route to the emergency room.

Yea, so here’s the full story:

I was 17 and closeted when this came out. I vividly remember watching it one night when I was babysitting my brother and my parents were out, and being so scared they would come home or my brother would wake up and EVERYONE WOULD KNOW WHY I WAS WATCHING.

I weaseled out of a few tickets, but these were my favorites:

This is the greatest thing I’ve read on the internet so far today. Might as well sign off on a high note. Well done!

This is clearly a combo of price and availability. I can find a dozen Leafs for under 20k in my area, but Bolts aren’t being sold here yet.

FWIW I live in NJ and lived in MA for many years, plus have been in Maine in below zero weather, and ALWAY set my parking brake, and have never had an issue. I joked I started it with my old Sentra because it was so light I worried a gentle breeze might blow it down a hill, but it’s pretty much automatic for me-stop

Man I feel for that kid. I (apparently) sobbed as a toddler when my parents traded in their bright yellow Datsun. The ugly gold Datsun they had next wasn’t the same.

YES! I also think that if you’re a two car household, you don’t need two huge cars...one small enough for quick trips, and one that can be used for longer rides/more safety focused.

I have said many times if I ever meet Paul Ryan, all I want is for him to explain how Ayn Rand’s economic theory actually works, because I’ve read all her books and I STILL DONT GET IT.

We did it at the time because we were traveling with a 2 yr old. I guess I wasn’t super clear-we didn’t need all of us to board, but one of us did to make sure it was clear of food debris before the kiddo came on board. Easier to have one of us (or, in the case of Southwest, just have all of us) come on and do it

In some very severe cases, people can be allergic enough to peanuts that they can’t be in a confined space with them (where even peanut dust can cause a severe reaction).
