The pretzels were sealed, they wanted us to double check them in the package before serving them to the rest of the cabin. :)

Holy shit. That’s crazy...the two times we used Southwest they were great. Shit.
IIRC, I looked up the wholesale cost of the battery and it was listed as $250+, at least at the time (this was probably 5 or 6 years ago). It’s very likely the costs have come down, or that the 3rd gen prius used a more expensive battery.
Yep. It might be an NYC thing, but (according to my wife), there’s an option in the app to ask for a carseat equipped Uber...they take a few extra minutes, but it makes life MUCH easier when they’re taking the train into the city.
Chiming in here on the allergy thing-almost all airlines will accommodate as best they can, as long as the accommodations you need are reasonable and don’t require much from the airline.
I know that Uber in NYC has some cars with car seats available. Probably not ideal or highest quality, but you can request a car seat Uber. My wife has done it when shuttling our son to his allergist.
I know it will eventually weaken. And I have had to replace the startup battery (which wasn’t terrible, around ~$300). That and the batteries died in my remote key. As long as any battery issues can be resolved with a trip to Walgreens, I’m ok. :)
I concur...I have a 2008 Prius with 140,000 miles on it and the battery is (knock wood) doing just fine. I would assume the rest of the car will disintegrate long before the battery would!
It’s reached the point for me that I just get nervous every time I see Celeste, like we’re going to flash back to some new brutality, or Perry is just going to come flying out of nowhere in a rage. I can barely look even when he’s being “nice”.
Agreed.
It’s really hard to make “I Can’t Wake Up” stop. You can’t exit it without clearing the puzzle unless you turn off the whole phone.
I have been using this app for a few months. It truly is evil, but it does yank my butt out of bed, mostly out of fear my spouse will smash my phone if I don’t turn the alarm off quickly.
When/if the car loan market implodes, I think that will drive more people back to smaller vehicles. Right now you can easily get a 7 year loan on a CUV...when that stops, the same dollars will only be able to fund a 5 year loan on a smaller/lower priced vehicle.
Oh god, my wife’s Jetta. That Jetta was awful. It wasn’t a bad car, it didn’t have any egregious problems, it was more the little things that added up to an awful experience.
Because Texas has discussed secession far longer than CA, and it is a weird obsession with some Texans. No joke, there’s even fiction written about how a seceded Texas would be the greatest place in the world and how they go to war with the USA and win and stuff....it’s crazy.
So basically the USA would work a lot like AT&T being broken down and then re-forming...far flung regional pieces that slowly merge back into one.
You’d get a ton of pushback from central/West NJ, especially Hunterdon and Somerset county. Hunterdon would probably want to go to PA, but for geographic and economic reasons both counties make more sense in northern NJ. But culturally they’re a far better fit for PA than NY.
There is no way California exits without Texas right behind them.
That or ice skate racing...she was getting her Apollo Ono on with her form there. It was impressive.
I had the same thought. That, and if you’re looking for bang for your buck, the Kia Niro is going to get you 40mpg and a better infotainment system.
