The two worst words in the English language are deserve and entitled. That’s not how life works, and it’s certainly not the role of government to be involved in such silly, vacuous concepts.

I thought it was interesting hearing the prosecutor admit that, if she decides to try her case (which is her const. right and all, God forbid), she’ll get a stiffer sentence.

“I see people avoiding responsibility” by writing stories which presume that Brown actually did what his accuser claims.  

There is no chance ever — despite what Diana wants — that Brown will be benched without either a criminal verdict of guilt or a civil admission of liability.

“The report wasn’t “the reason” for the light sentence.” You need to spend some time in a California courtroom. 

You think he should be punished because his family acted poorly and because the judge was later recalled ? The former belief has no place in the law, and the latter is reductive logic.

The sentence he received is the one recommended by the probation department, which judges routinely adopt.  As a defense lawyer, I’ve had — and so have my colleagues — numerous, less privileged defendants receive the same type of sentence, if not a lighter one.  

One of the two cops was black, but ok.

Next time write a complete story. Look up what the prosecutors themselves said about her: she lied not only to the investigators but to the grand jury.  This is in addition to many of her other claims which either didn’t add up, were belied by her own text messages or both.
