Like I said elsewhere in the comments during this show, Matt may have got his powers involuntarily, but his punching skills are all his own devotion.

I read somewhere that a proper cremation will make your skull explode, so I'm not sure Harold will be regenerating that. I was kind of hoping we'd see his hand punch out of the casket mid grilling though.

But he was at least likable and reasonably interesting (when Claremont was writing him)
This Danny was neither. Personally I thought Danny taking revenge on Harold should have been episode one and then they should have just slammed into the start of the Immortal Iron Fist story. Orson Randall and all that stuff would

"Low budget or bad writing?"
Both.

At that point, it seemed like they were just throwing shit in there to see if any of it would work on-screen.

From the hints they've dropped, it seems Karen's already been through some of the events leading up to born again. But I guess there's nothing stopping her reverting (spoilers for those who haven't read it) to the junkie porn star and sometime prostitute that kicks off that whole vicious story.

Yes, it was very 24.

If they strap Karen Page into spandex or leather I wash my hands of these shows.

More like Danny has orphan issues, TBH. And who wouldn't?
His parents are more or less still blank slates right now, same as the early books.

I think with Colleen, Claire, the Meachums and financial shenanigans we already have plenty of soap opera.
As I've said all through this show, I wanted more K'un lun, and I think making Davos his former best buddy dilutes what there is of that.

Me too, for the record.

They do indeed.

The exchange rate for magic items to dollars must be ruinous.

Hell, Kyle would have been better if he hadn't been creamed.

I'm kind of ambiguous about Davos, the actor did a great job and was even decently written (for once) apart from the stupid throwing stars.
Davos in the comics isn't a friend to Danny though, he's a rival and a symbol of some of the nasty K'un lun secrets that we've barely touched on yet. Danny's never met him before

In the recent comics it's made clear that the women of K'un lun aren't allowed to be warriors or train with weapons. Can't remember if that was specified in the early comics.
Lei Kung has since put that right, or at least made great strides in that direction.

Kids today, etc.
Sometimes I think I stayed childless purely to avoid that kind of thing.

There are some hints in the comics that K'un lun does accept migrants (for want of a better word) but how the hell that works when it's super isolated and allegedly in a different dimension for years at a time I have no idea.

Gimme some dragon sugar Shou Lao, you Immortal reptile of comfort.

Someone pointed out to me that in a few years 1990 will be thirty years ago, and I can't accept that at all.
