The Hand are extremist bad guys, so that would be enough I would have thought. I can totally believe Iron Fist(s) would have crossed swords with them before, indeed have them be known enemies, but making them the entire reason for the Iron Fist seems like lazy writing.

I sort of hate that they made the Hand the whole reason for the Iron Fist to exist. In the books he's the champion and protector of a whole city, this just makes him seem like a glorified, superpowered security guard.

Job is the tits, but having him appear as a barely visible hallucination? Memory? Flashback? Was kind of an annoying tease for me. I like the Thunderer a lot.

Matt may have been given his senses, but he sure worked to become a hero. After all, he could be honest about his supersenses now and become the greatest CSI on Earth if he just wanted to help victims.
