Yeah. That’s a good point. I guess I was just thinking in terms of this kid ever getting any type of fair trial, or worried that the police, understandably under pressure, would jump to conclusions and possibly leave a murderer out there. That “Making a Murderer” really fucked me up.

If he hadn’t added the “active investigation,” at the beginning then the defense might have a case. But being optimistic about finding the killer based on evidence is not a crime.

I really hope this guy actually did it, cause I can’t imagine that a homeless teenager will be getting the kind of resources he needs to adequately fight this if he’s not.
