It’s worse than that. It’s first they came for the journalists and I did nothing because I was hoping they wouldn’t notice I am one.

I wished those journalists in attendance had picked up Acosta’s line of questioning, or even refused to continue asking questions

If Trump somehow miraculously lasts for the next few years, we’ll be seeing more outbursts of him screaming, “FAKE NEWS!” during press conferences, with press credentials removed for all but Breitbart, infowars, and any celebrity that tweets of the greatness of Twitler.

I knew of a guy who transferred from out of state and brought his family’s belongings in a rental truck. To keep it from being stolen, he took the distributor cap. Next morning, truck was gone. The thieves repaired the truck.

The fact that the issue isn’t what the police did, really, but that they did it to an innocent person, really hurts my brain - here, police would (and should be!) in trouble for punching a suspect, even if they had stolen the car, and even if they were resisting arrest.

I think we all know the crime, driving while black.

That’s why I don’t like the headline here. It definitely buries the lede. The story here is the atrocious actions of the police, the inexcusable beating and the equally inexcusable “investigation” of it. Instead the narrative is how dare someone call the police when they think a car is being broken into which is

I’ve known plenty of people who are great people, but make horrible parents. But as for someone who is a great parent but a horrible person, can’t say I know of any personally. Not saying it can’t happen, just that it’s harder to grasp as a concept.

I would counter that doing a good job of mothering makes you a good mother. You dont need to infer when there are 18 years of experience to refer to.

She has earned no such thing because stealing someone’s infant implies you are an unfit mother.

And if her kidnapper was a good mother to her, what do you do with all that love and trust she’s earned? Like an adoptive mother, to her it’s all real. What a nightmare.

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

I remember when this happened and I’m so glad that they found her and that she’s okay. But oh wow...how horrible must this be for her emotionally? I hope she gets support for the emotional and psychological issues. 18's a hard enough age as it is, she doesn’t need to have to deal with something like this alone, too.

We could probably handle the bad eggs if we believed that they were weeded out when they were caught doing awful things. Instead the investigators are causing more problems than the bad police are, and probably making life hard for the ones that aren’t corrupt asshats.

Yeah, that’s what bothers me. OBVIOUSLY the use of force wasn’t justified. So who made that decision and why do they still have a job?

Wealth and power inequity are innately tied together.

Oh man if they brought back Living Single, Martin, Fresh Prince... I might actually start watching TV again!

Did you watch the Museum gala last night? All I could think was Will Smith just looks like The Fresh Prince with a dadstache.

Trump’s position on corruption within the police force and senseless killings of unarmed African Americans remains to be seen.

+1 for Fresh Prince
