Ah good one! I completely forgot about that.

I’m guessing none. It’s so out of the ordinary I think it would make big news.

Thanks for the explanation. What a fucking terrible system! I guess they don’t care if anyone comments or not.

Bob Ross is a National Treasure.

His poor kids! They won’t get the joy of having an adult relationship with their father. I think having kids that old is very selfish.

ugh yes! no lips! I cannot imagine it would be fun kissing him at all.

Lifehacker writers are also pretty good about engaging with commenters and ungreying them. But I don’t know if there is any permanent ungreying anymore.

I’m always in the greys, have been for years and years. I finally had to set up a new account a couple of weeks ago b/c instead of ungreying my comments, Jezebel was deleting them. Even stupid DirtBag comments! Trolls get ungreyed, but if you don’t toe the party line you get deleted. It’s a very flawed system and I’ve

same! I read it 3 times before I figured it out. I just thought they just weren’t that into kids or something.

Completely agree. Whether you like it or not, Presidents are way different from confederate soldiers. People may dislike the confederates or NGAF, but they sure as fuck care about the Presidents. The protestors need to pick their targets of statue toppling better. They are turning people against the cause. They are

I have no evidence, but my opinion is that famous people probably have more fake accusations than normal people b/c of crazy fandoms and weird hate. People what to take them down or get clout or get a payout. So many reasons why a famous person would have a higher number of false accusations.

My poor colleague was Anne until about 2nd or 3rd grade when her mom sent her to school with a note announcing that her name was now Renah. Anne/Renah had no say in the matter. She was still pretty miffed when I knew her at age 65. But she didn’t change it back to Anne.

You don’t think a college age student knows what her name might be confused with? I think pointing it out would be insulting.

There was a Vietnamese girl I was friends with in HS named Georgette. Other Vietnamese kids were always asking her what her Vietnamese name was, but she didn’t have one. Her parents named her after their American sponsor. Then there’s my mixed race nieces. They have American first names and a Vietnamese last name. My

My HS math teacher named her little girl Jessey. She didn’t like nicknames so named the kid what she would call her. When Jessey was a toddler people would assume her name was Jessica and call her that. She would always respond, “Jessey Lane, not Jessey Ca!” B/c she thought Ca was a last name lol I still crack up.

I don’t think of Vietnamese names as difficult, but it does seem like everyone at my school was Thuy, Thoah (my fave name), or Thi.

My Arabic teacher did that in our class, but it backfired b/c one guy preferred his name pronounced with an American accent. It’s how he grew up saying his name and didn’t want to change it. They had a small back and forth, but my teacher eventually dropped it. It was kind of funny b/c the guy said his name with

If it was that hard for him, he could have just switched to using everyone’s last names.

All republicans love to use Born in the USA. It’s a crowd pleaser b/c no one has the critical thinking skills of a cactus.

My mom and I went on a mother/daughter date to see But I’m a Cheerleader at the theater. We both enjoyed the Hell out of it. It was a much better m/d date than the time we went to see My Own Private Idaho 0_o
