Lol, by the way, I’ve worked in state politics and in fact was involved in the Dem redistricting proposal in my state. I’ve seen the shitty, helpless nonsense you’re so fond of up close and personal.

Huh. Well, God knows the party leadership has nothing to do with who sits on the federal bench. So I guess I gotta concede your point about how the Dems are absolutely helpless and blameless.
And you say that in the context of defending Hillary “Third Way” Clinton.
Insane that this message doesn’t make voters flock to the Democratic ticket.
Boy that diverse, coastal leadership sure is white. Weird.
Yeah it’s so crazy that Hillary “Superpredator” Clinton wasn’t more popular. How could any voter be stupid enough to not vote for her, after all those wars she fought for and that time she nae naed on Ellen? Those fucking idiots.
Yeah, those people who have a bunch of contradictory opinions that you attributed to them sure are hypocritical.
And of course, “going to the center” has always been the core of the Clintons’ strategy.
I’m not seeing unanimity, I’m seeing frustration with the fact the Democratic establishment seems hell-bent on refusing to learn anything from this disaster of an election:
No shit, because people are upset at people in power, and of the most prominent faces in the party, two are women and the other two are leaving office imminently.
Plus, seeing some heads roll would be an important signal to everyone, inside and outside the Party, that people take this election seriously.
So screw their dumb asses.
TLDR; I’m not sure there is anything the Democrats can do, without sacrificing their ideals
Yeah, this is some bullshit. I say that as a midwesterner whose state consistently went blue until Hillary and the Democratic Party’s incompetence lost what should have been one of the easiest elections of all time.
These politicians are so much older than you in part because the party has closed ranks in order to ensure that these seventy-somethings remain its leadership.
Texas Democrats fled the state twice in the early aughts to fight it
We need to appeal to independents, and try to turn out the vote among younger voters
Oh, okay, so it’s just something that happened, not anything anyone can do anything about.
I had really hoped that this election would be enough to push the Dems to clean house. The fact that the party is closing ranks around its old leaders makes me feel a bit disillusioned.
Fail.
