Right, because like I said, hero worship and dividing ourselves into different teams is a tendency that has been really, really harmful to our goals. So I haven’t lined up a series of randomly selected politicians to stan for.

Posting word salad at me will not change reality. It is foolish of Dems to refuse to take reality on reality’s terms.
Your idea of “realistic” includes a coastal socialist who will be 79 at the time of the next presidential election.
Obviously it’s hero worship. You’re literally concocting fantasies about someone who has been open about not liking being in the public eye magically becoming vice president.
It would be yet another wasted opportunity for Dems.
It’s not this woman’s sole responsibility to bear the burden of what we did, though. I can’t fault her for protecting herself.
I mean, apparently they are your favorite. Which, you’re entitled to like whatever you like, but it is important that Dem voters stop trying to convince ourselves that everyone else shares our own personal preferences. Trying to get Michelle Obama to run would be a totally unforced error.
Yeah being noisily contemptuous of people for any way in which they are different from you is really a good move at this point in time.
I’m not going to block you for having dumb opinions and wasting your time. I’m also not going to watch videos on the internet for you because yeah, my time is valuable to me.
Fail.
Well, that reflects poor judgment on your part. Which is apparently pretty characteristic of my fellow Democrats at this juncture.
Polls showed Hillary would win, too. Lots of people have dissected the problems with those comparisons regarding Bernie’s popularity.
Of course he’s more corrupt. That’s obvious and doesn’t need to be repeated here, because it doesn’t matter.
She hates politics, and attempting to shove more of the same down the voters’ throats doesn’t fucking work. They don’t like it. It’s our responsibility to win elections.
JFC, people. However you voted in the primary, it’s time to get over it. Going into insane hero-worship mode over politicians does not help us. Neither of them was even close to perfect. Let it go; this is a time when we really need to have our wits about us.
Jesus fucking Christ. The last thing the party needs is to keep tying itself to the past. I adore Michelle Obama but if she actually did hit her head and decide to run for office it would be a sad day.
Yeah. I can’t get past the unforced errors she made. It reminds me so much of the 90s except we were all at least pretty optimistic about the future then.
Picking one person to hero-worship right now is the exact opposite of productive. There isn’t going to be one amazing candidate who fixes everything so we may as well leave our options open rather than immediately forming separate camps.
I think you overestimate the appeal of elderly Jewish socialists to people in the midwest.
He doesn’t care. He won’t do it or he’ll delegate it anyway. He doesn’t care that some people will be aghast at him for not doing the work.
