You claim that again and again, and yet you have yet to explain why. If you hadn’t been wrong, it would be so easy for you to prove it . . .

Hey, if I’m wrong, why not prove me wrong?
If your comments weren’t totally off-base, you could defend them rather than just emitting tired insults reading.
Wow. Fail.
Absolutely.
Thanks for reminding us about the true victims here.
At some point, some measure of self-interest will kick in and convince police forces to start addressing the pervasive, systemic problems at play, right? I mean, I’m not expecting basic decency from them, but it’s starting to seem like, collectively, the cops’ desire to engage in systematic violence against black…
Restating the premise yet again is not an answer, it’s still just restating the premise. It doesn’t become an answer when you repeat yourself enough times.
. . . it’s not a “new thing”, it’s one of the things I quoted way back at the beginning of this.
Well, and there are a lot of people who aren’t House members whom he works with much more closely (his staffers, staffers of other Members with whom he works closely, GOP senate leadership and their staffers, certain White House staffers, lobbyists, donors, innumerable people employed by the party in some capacity,…
Holy shit. That is fucking appalling. That’s really telling. I always sort of assumed Reagan was, at least personally, less awful than that.
Yup. I think I’m not quite as bad as you but I absolutely understand you on that point. Something like 2% of the population meets the diagnostic criteria of face blindness, and of course that leaves a fair few more who are below average but outside the diagnosable range on recognizing faces.
Sure, but recognizing every single Member from the other party is not remotely one of those responsibilities. It seems weird to be saying this about Paul Ryan, who by rights should be that guy in sales who talks way too much about his high school football days, but he actually is way too important to waste time and…
She is in no way one of the 435 people he works most closely with as part of his job. Like, not even close to it. A couple thousand places down the list from there, at least.
Dude, idk. As an educator, I can say that recognizing about 400 students’ faces and (and some of their parents!) isn’t a huge obstacle if you’ve got them in context.
Even if one buys the “435 Members” argument, she’s not just any member. She’s sponsored not one but two high-profile bills addressing cyber-harassment. She’s been on SXSW panels advocating against cyber-harassment.
I mean, it sounds like that guy is a jerk, but some of us are shit at recognizing faces and depend heavily on other incidental features of people’s appearance to recognize them. Studies indicate as much as 2% of the population may meet the diagnostic criteria for prosopagnosia.
If you’re a receptionist, you’d better be able to recognize every Member (npi) on sight, if you want to keep your job.
It’s not actually a “black eye” if the only effect it has is to confirm the beliefs of people who are looking for petty reasons to hate him.
That’s a ridiculously poor comparison.
